Stables are for relaxing

Stables are for relaxing you know. I wish someone would tell frank that. When we are in he spends the whole time watching TW and trying to get her attention. He's a right fidget. I just like to stand at the back of the stable and doze. It's lovely.

Today bee stayed in the field again and me and frank came through the windy village with TW. It was nice and sunny but a little scary. Especially the feed back under the car that rustled and blew about.

We didnt get to ride today. Instead we both did some running in circles. Frank went first. Him and TW think its boring but he did well and was very happy when he finished. TW wasnt sure if I knew how do it but as soon as the long rope thing came out I remembered. I did some walking and trotting in circles. TW said I looked lovely. I liked that.

Then I had a doze and we saw some visitors who gave us carrots. They were only tiny people and TW thought I might nibble them. Oops. I've got a different rug on today. Franks stinky blue LW. My new amigo rug wiggles about abit apparently .

Windy spooks

Today I thought I might get a nice relaxed day in bed as the weather was looking awful. TW had other ideas though. Firstly she rode frank round the village, he was very chuffed. I tried to hide at the back of braks stable and thought she might forget me but no I had to go out too.

We pootled round the village to. It was windy. Really windy. And rainy. TW said its good practise and we need to be brave. So I spooked getting off the drive. Oops. And then I spooked at the little scotty dog. But it was all ok. At the top of the village there was a scary piece of conifer bush flapping about in the middle of the road but the kind posty man moved it for me.

I was glad to get back in my bed and fell fast asleep. I've got a new rug on in the field now, a LW . It's not so good. TW wasnt impressed with it . Oh dear.

Thank you Brack

So I'm living in the big field now. There's lots of grass which is nice . And lots of hedges for shelter. Everything is mostly going ok although eols is being a bit bossy. He doesn't like it when I try and stand with frankie. That makes me sad. Well only a little bit. I'm just watching and waiting and working out how to fit in,

Bracky is looking after me. When Eol chased me away a few times today Bracky came over and stood with me and we had a little wrestle. Frankie stands in between me and Eol sometimes too to try and keep him away from me. Bracky showed me how to do a big buck in eols face too. TW is a bit worried as Eol has been nasty to other horses in he past but I'm sure it will be ok. There's plenty of room for all of us at the moment.

TW came and stood in the rain in the field for ages with us and I had lots of cuddles. It was lovely. Tbh I like peeps just as much as I like horses alot of the time. Silly Chaz kept trying to get in on the act but she mostly ignored him as it was my time. I liked that. She also marched over to Eol and made him move away from her. He went and hid behind Chaz. I liked that too.

Shame we didnt do any work today but TW says smetimes we all need a rest day. She also said that maybe it's better to stay in with the boys today and try and get settled. Maybe tomorrow will be a work day but the weathers not looking good.

Slippery work and a move next door

Well I must say I'm quite enjoying TW having this week of! First of all today TW, frank and me tootled through the village. There was a scary crane thing with flashing lights and two hi viz men but frank took the lead and we marched last like good soldiers. I borrowed Bracks bed today as mine is still grubby. Lazy worrier.

We nommed on hay and then I got tacked up and me and TW tootled off through the village and we slipped and slid our way down the path. I'm not a fan of all this mud. Turned right and off we went. I tried to turn round a few times and got a slap on the shoulder . How rude! Frank doesn't get this abuse :(

The Big Bang bird scarers kept going off but I didnt mind. We went a good way along and turned round. Everywhere is really flooded. Nipped behind the hedge for a little while and then headed for home passing a bouncy dog. Then we walked round the village the other way. I did really well. I had a little kip in my stable and then for a big treat we moved into the field with Chaz and Eol. There's loads of grass in there! Yum.

Worrier piñata

Today the sun was shining and the wind was blowing. After a little altercation with some electric fencing me and TW tootled up to the yard. There was no messing about today, rug off, quick brush and tack on. Today the beads were back. And the stick! Oh my!

Off we set with not too much faffing. It wasnt as slippy down the little bridlepath as I expected. Down past the bench and on wards. The wind was really strong at time but I didnt mind. TW was singing and chatting away about our plans for next year. Some of it was quite interesting.

We turned round and I sped up a bit but that's not allowed. We turned left and went along the proper bridlepath and through the hedge and then right back to the bench. It was nice. Just walking but no need for stick wiggling. The collie appeared but he was good and let his owners out him on his lead. That was excellent.

Up the slope to Zoe's gate and BANG! TWs head his the big tree branch. The branch fell down and landed across my neck. TW held her breathe cos I think she thought it would scare me but I wasnt bothered. She tried to pull it round over my neck but it got stuck in my ears. In the end she wiggled it over her head and round over by bum and off we plodded. Then she jumped off and let me graze. It was nice.

Back at the stable and I got some hay and a bit of something called mince pie. That was nice. I tried to drink TWs tea but just ended up spitting hay into it. Oh dear. Ten it was back to the field, stopping to chat to a little girl who was very shy so I head butted her. I think she liked it.

Good days work. I'm sure there was a hunt in somewhere though, dunno why we couldn't go?

One rule for one at Xmas

It was dark and cold when TW arrived on Xmas morning. SE turned bee and frank out and then tied me up with a bag of hay . Oh after I tried to barge my way out of the stable like frank does and got a slap on my nose for my trouble. That's not nice. Maybe I tried to nip TW too. I was starving , there wasnt enough hay in the stable last night.

I had a little brush and then TW decided we could have a little ride even though it wasnt even light yet. We got dressed up and then ZM appeared. First of all we went to the mounting block . I wasnt in the mood , I was hungry so it took a bit of arguing before TW got on. ha!! She hadn't bothered with a stick today, dnt think she'll make that mistake again. We did some mooching in the school, TW says we need to practise on the left rein more. Then ZM walked round the village with us, TW wanted company as it was still a bit dark. I was very good though.

Then it was back to the yard , I was  pleased with myself for having a bit of work. A quick munch and then back t the mud.

Something that rhymes with punt

I'm not sure what it is but TW shouted this word alot today. I guess it must be a nice word as punt is oirish money......Bracky laughed when I said that earlier.

When TW came to the field she was a bit shocked I think. We were all stood waiting for her and wanted to come in. It was raining an awful lot. She said that word a bit and something like bar stewards or something. We had a lovely day in our beds though, nice and relaxing.

She came up at tea time and let us roam free around the yard for a bit. I think she regretted that tbh ,  frank and Brack maybe took advantage of her good nature and paraded around the yard. Frank can do a lovely floaty trot you know. Bracky stampeded the neighbour with his dogs. It was a bit embarrassing but I ate some nice grass. ZM appeared and we showed TW up even more. TW laughed and didn't care really , Bracky says she thinks we are funny and she likes our personalities. I do hope so. I didnt really want to be in bed tonight but we had a special tea with carrots in . That was nice.

Ready for the hunt

At the moment I am mostly practising getting ready for hunting next year. I really want to go. TW is scared so I've decided I have to show her that I'm a good boy.

On Friday I practised with a stupid collie. As we were walking back to the field he shot away from his owners and zipped right last my heels. TW held her breathe. I didnt even flinch. He came back again , right under my tail and made a funny noise as he flew past my hooflets. I didnt move again. TW was proud. She warned the collie people that if their dog did that to Bracky that he would kick shit out of it. They said I was a very good boy.

Today it was very windy but sunny. After a night in bed I was last to go to the field as the ponies were being nobby ( I think I have to be a horse to go hunting). Through the village I went with TW . I did a lovely trot as I wanted to get back to my buds. But then two more dogs appeared. I saw them from a long way off , they were wearing hi viz coats ( Bracky says the bloodhounds don't wear hi viz but I'm not so sure). I was a bit nervous at first but then we marched over. The silly baby dog wanted a cuddle with TW but jumped up in my face too. I ignored it. The labby lady laughed and said its a good job your horse is so sensible. Well yes lady I am aren't I? A very good boy.

Off down to the field and TW took my rug off for a treat , I stood for ages and scratched myself. It felt good! Silly horses would have tanked off after 24 hours in bed but I just stood in the sun and scratched and had a little nibble of grass. Frank and Brack were disgusted with me. They started marching up the field and stood and stared. Round the track I mooched while they glared at me . RRRUUUUUUUNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!! HAH! I caught them by surprise and cantered at them both  and we had a good old rumble.

I was glad when TW put my Ruggy back on though as the wind was nippy.

Soggy bog and day in bed

Well, it's still raining so we all had a day in bed today. It was nice to get my feet dry and munch some hay. TW made us nice big beds this evening and we got to stay in overnight too. Very unusual. She says the field is very soggy at the moment and it could do with a little rest.

We played a great game though. It was called " every time TW skips us out to a new poo very fast" . Bracky thought it was hilarious. TW wasnt so impressed.

Massage time

It's very wet and muddy at the moment . It's not good. Today I had a lovely treat though. I relaxing massage with the physio lady. It was lush. Apart from when I needed a poo and a scratch.  She was very complimentary although her and TW spent some time giggling about how slow oirish horses can   Be.

Pooped

Today was a lovely sunny day. TW was up early and off we went to the stables. I'm still not keen on that scary skip thing that's appeared though.

Quick hoof pick out and hay net then we were off on the nobby box. Eek. Had a big poo before I got on the ramp today.then two more big poos as we were driving.

It seemed to be a really long drive today , on the motorway and everything. TW got lost which was a pain but we eventually got to our destination! Poolsbrook park! Fab! Even better my friends Tess and Raf were there too!

Off we went on a lovely hack. We crossed bridges over water and bridges over roads. We saw benches and swans and statues and buses and dogs and all sorts. We even had a little jump over a ditch! And we even got to canter ( I sneaked a few extra bits of canter in too! Oops!). It was absolutely FAB!!!!!

We were out for two hours I think and I was a bit warm at the end  so I got my pjs on and had some hay while TW and chms drank tea. Then it was back in the box and back home. Shattered! It was soooo lovely. Hope we can do it again soon.

Bad weather blues

Rubbish weather! I was meant to be going to Shipley park today with TW but its been windy and rainy :(

We had a nice day in the stables though, had some good brushing s and cuddles although TW worried  that maybe my hocks were a bit warm. After a rest me and frank went back to the field and I wrestled with Brack and did some lovely cantering about while TW poo picked.

Wrestle mania

Today we were meant to be going out for some endurance training but TW couldn't make it so we had a day in the field instead. It was really windy!! We didn't mind though. We had some brekky and then all snoozed while TW poo picked.

After a little cuddle from TW we trundled off to the water and had a drink. Then I had a great idea. Wrestling!! Me and Bracky did sme boxing and some ankle biting and then he hung onto my rug and I dragged him round the field. Woohoooo!! Followed by a stampede round the field led by frank. Great fun.

I'm looking forward to finding out more about endurance stuff though, I'd like to have a proper job to do.

New chum

Today was a lovely day, cold but sunny. I wouldn't have minded a day in the field but TW had other ideas. I had some hay and then it was on with franks fleece and onto the box. It's been a long time! We were both a bit nervous I think.

Off we went  and an hour later we pulled up somewhere new. It was a lovely house and some lovely stables with a nice lady who has treats! For a little minute I worried that TW was going to leave me there but then a cob called drum appeared. Aha, hacking time.

Now I thought that as a baby and as a guest, my chum Drum would lead the way but he had other ideas. So off I went with drum following. Sometimes it was scary and I had to stop. We saw loads of horses and ponies , wierd men, dogs and runners and rubbish. And of course a stinky bench. We went on a road and saw a flag and some wreaths of poppies. Then we went into some woods. It was lovely and peaceful and drum went back in the lead.

All of a sudden we landed almost on top of a shoot. Eek. We turned round and set back the way we came. Let me tell you there was an awful lot of shooting!! Round we went, back over the road, down a lane to see more horses and then eventually back at drums house. Phew. I was tired. It's rather hilly round there. TW had a quick cuppa and then off we went in the box bak home , I ate some hay and then it was pink ruggle on and into the field. Shattered.

Looking forward to seeing my chum drum again.

Tea day

I've not seen TW since Tuesday which is sad. Today she appeared and the field was rather wet. We all ignored her but she came and caught me and frank. It was still windy though.

At the gate TW let us both go while she locked the gate behind us . Oh dear something spooked frank  and off he went and I followed. Barged past TW I to the field and round we went. TW trudged round after us. She wasnt best pleased.

Frank had been charging round the field all night and was a bit stressy. In the end TW gave up and me and her went in together which was nice.

After some nomming TW and I went on a little hack around the village. It was nice , she sang all the way round which wasnt so nice. I was a little bit hesitant at times but we got through it together. Afterwards we shared a cup of tea and roskos mum came to visit. Then I had a load of hay and a snooze in Bracks stable while TW went for grub. Excellent.

Cup of tea

Someone has broken the fence. TW wasn't best pleased. The fence along the wooden fence was broken today, tape was everywhere and a post had been broken. Somehow the energiser had detached itself from the fence. Oh dear. Eol and Chaz have moved into the long grass in their nice big field. TW thinks this might have something to do with the fencing but apparently not.

Frank and I had to come up to the yard today. It was soooooo muddy and slippy. But at the yard we got to take our rugs off and have a little brush. Then the farrier man came. Goodness he does scare me. I hoped that he would just do franks but nope he wanted to do me too :( I tried to hide in the stables but TW made me come out. Rude.

He was nice to me today though and as a distraction TW gave me one of Zoe's carrots. Nom. When I'd eaten that she shared her cup of tea with me. Nice. Not so bad then.

When he'd gone I hoped we would get to stay in our beds but we had our rugs back on and got chucked out into the mud. Boo.

Awwwwww

Today I was hoping to go to a Xmas pleasure ride. But the roads were icy so it was postponed. So TW arranged for Harry to come over to us for a hack. But then this morning the roads were icy and the sun was sooooo bright it was hard to see on the roads. And the bridlepath was all rutted and frozen.

So TW came down to the field in the sunshine and took our rugs off for a while while she did some poo picking, Bracky said he can't remember the last time she picked so much poo. It's a shame we didnt go out again but it was nice all together in the field.

Rug swap

I didnt get ridden today. I was sad though so TW let me come in for a munch while frank went for a hack. I think he was a bit naughty, he was embarrassed when he came back.

The weather is getting rather chilly. So I got to wear a lovely bright pink mw rug and frank has his blue rug back. Brack isn't wearing a rug at the moment. Wierd.

Cuddles

Today we've mostly munched. TW slid over to us this evening in the dark and we all rushed over to give her cuddles tonight. I gave her extra big cuddles but she thought I was going to eat her hair. Then she decided to go. S I bit Bracky right on the bum. Hard. He wasnt expecting it hehehe. Unfortunately frankie saw and came and told me off. Bossy .

Wrestle

TW only comes to see us in the dark in the week. It's a shame. We hear her coming though. It's very quiet in the field at night. And it's very dark. And very muddy. She slips and slides a lot. And says bad words. The bad words make bracken giggle.

I was waiting for her again tonight at the bottom of the field. She always tends to speak to frank first or he gets mad. Bracky ignores her. Rude dude. As soon as she came close to me I started trying to nibble and grab her hands. So she pinched my nose and got me in a headlock. Wierdo. I tried to bite her ankles to make her fall over ( frank does this to Brack) but she was too quick. The wrestling went on for quite a while. She said I could chew her coat but I preferred her hands. Apparently this isn't allowed. BORING!! At least I didn't chew her hair today.

Wheeeeeeeeee

Well last night we had a lovely pony party. Me, frank, brak and Zoe all together out of the way of the wind and rain. We had a lovely time.

This morning , we had some hay and then we all got our coats on and went into the school. Whhheeeee it was windy!! We did some nomming and some bucking and barging into each other.

Then TW and ZM took us down to the field. Where Bracky started the biggest race ever!! We galloped about, bucking and skidding. TW kept diving out of the way . Awwww it was fab . Yeee haaaaaa!! I do love my buds.

Beasty is back

Today TW and I got back into the swing of solo hacking. It was really scary to begin with. So TW did lots of singing for me. Oh dear. Apparently I was walking to quickly so she tried hard to make me slow down a little bit.

We went straight past the bench and did some trotting. I was a bit wobbly and a bit fast. TW made me stop and start a lot. I think she thought I was going to run away. On the way back we went left and TW said we could have a canter or two. I loved that! Great fun. At the top of the bridlepath TW jumped off and I had some nibbles. We are spending the night in the stables tonight with Zoe. The weather is rubbish.

Sunny

Today was a lovely sunny day. TW came and took my rug off and then tootled off with frankie. I was a bit jealous but it was nice for frank to have some fun with her. As long as I get my turn tomorrow. Unfortunately I had to have the Ruggy bug back on.

Eat the worrier

The rain has been steadily falling down for what seems like forever. Fortunately it finally stopped and by the time TW appeared this evening. Last night when she came we were all hiding over the far side of the field so today as a little treat for her we were all right near the gate ( but not on the track) when she arrived. She was very pleased.

As is her usual routine she stuck her hand on all of our armpits to check were were warm enough. SE then stood and had we had cuddles but for some reason she wouldn't let me chew her coat or hair. That's sad.

Nosey Rosey

TW was poorly today :(

She came to the field and took off my Ruggy bug which was lovely as it was really sunny. She then did some very slow poo picking. It was REALLY slow. Bracky was laughing at her. She then lay on the floor which I thought was odd. But maybe a good idea so I lay down too in the sunshine. Ten Bracky lay down too. Frank was just eating.

After a bit she went away which was sad. No riding tody then. She came back and I stood nice and still while she out my rug on. Nd gave me lots of kisses. Then she realised I was watching a little grey pony being ridden in the distance. I want to do more riding stuff!

Back in work....

Well after a boring few weeks rest and an encounter with orange auntie Steph and her clippers , I am back in work! Hooray.

Frank and I tootled off and after a spook and a few disagreements about who could go first we were off down the bridlepath. It was a whole lot scarier than I remember. I did a few spooks and didnt want to trot. But then I could tell TW was starting to worry so I sorted myself down and we had some lovely trots and I ignored those silly bird scarer things. On the way back we went behind the hedge and had a trot and then a wee canter. But TW was naughty and didnt tell frank we were cantering. He did some bucking instead. Oh dear TW was embarrassed. Frank was very sorry and back at the yard gave TW lots of kisses. It was a nice ride though. Hopefully we will get to go out together a bit more.

I grabbed a quick snooze and then it was rug on and back to the field. Nom.

Visitors .......

Another quiet week. Hope I get to go out soon. It's been nice though munching long grass with my buds.

Today I got a bit hopeful as me and frank went into the yard. TW spent ages brushing me . It was lovely . I have her loads of kisses and tried to nibble her hair. But the she vanished for a meeting. Oh!

Nxt thing, she's back and there's more brushing. But then oh no!! Auntie Steph ( who I mist say looked a funny colour today) and sme friends arrived. Then out came the clippers. I was a very good boy though and let them clip away. Apart from when stinky red kept trying to bite my ass. Rude girl!

After clipping me and frank went to the field and I had some lovely roles in the mud! Later TW came back and we had a little row as I didn't want a rug on. Frank didnt like me wearing his rug either. Maybe I can get rid of it tomorrow.

Bored mud bud

Oh dear. TW has been on holiday for a week. She came back on Friday which was lovely but all we did was come in , have a tootsies picked out and have a night in the stables. Yesterday she went to a horsey shopping thing.

Today I thought we might do something nice although I was cross at her for going away for a week. I ignored her for a bit and then obviously had to go and give her lots of cuddles and offered to groom her lots. Then I went to the hard with her and she spent some time trying to brush all the mud off me. There is a lot of mud. It's annoying.

Apparently we are starting work again this week. I hope so .

Wine tasting

Today was sunny but cold. TW came and took us to the hard nice and early. That was an adventure. Frank ran off and then Bracky didn't want to go past the bin men. We had a lovely relaxing day in our stables while TW sorted our field out.

TW gave me and frankie lots of kisses today which was lovely. Bracky didn't want kisses. She opened her cupboard and me and frank had a wine tasting session with all the Hilton herbs supplements in the cupboard. It was lovely. I pulled faces and made TW laugh.

When we went back to the field TW had moved the fencing again and there was lots of hay by the field covered in a blue wrapper thing.

Full bot and cuddles

We've been on the middle of the field since yesterday, there's lots of grass to eat which is good. All of our tummies are full. Phew! TW came up tonight and I got lots of cuddles. Even though it was dark she could tell how muddy I was. Oops! TW commented on my ears being a bit floppy, I was just full of grass and sleeeeepy. Zzzzzzzz.

Upside down weather

Last night we stayed in as the weather was meant to be wet. It wasnt. Never mind as we were all warm and had just about enough to eat.

This morning I took the TW out on a hack with Frank and the BHO and Zoe and ZM. It was rather pleasant. We did sme walking and trotting. We weren't allowed t canter though. Frank was jealous of my ability to be at the front though and decided to march in front.

When we got back we did some munching and then went into the field. TW then headed off with ZM to see Rosko and chums. The rain came down and it got colder. We were all so happy when TW came back at tea time. Back into our rooms??? No :( she gave us some grass though. We all had a go at kicking each other to try and get the best spot. Oops.

Grass belly, sleep!

Omg last night I ate so much grass that all I wanted to do was sleep!! TW took me and frank into the stables and I got in my corner and was soon fast asleep. TW gave me hay but I didn't care. She brushed me and picked out my feet but tbh I was too tired to notice. Brack made his way in his own t the yard and I didn't really care.

Eventually my friend Harry arrived! That's nice! Off we went for a hack with Zoe. Up the steep road, across, right at the house on a new bridlepath I've never been on before then round a little graveyard and back. I did sme good marching. As soon as I was back in the stable I ate my apple from Harry's mum and went back to sleep!

Don't bite me fence!

Tonight when TW came to see us she thought we should have a treat. So she took out sme posts and some of the fencing fell on the floor. Frank and Brack were straight over there eating the long grass. TW tried to get me to follow but it was far to scary. In the end she ouput a head collar on me and then I went straight over with her. Omg what a lot of grass!

Mud buds, bad bot

The field is very muddy which isn't so pleasant. There is nice long grass in the middle of the field but we only get a bit at a time which is wierd. Brack says he doesn't think there's enough to last us for winter and that's why TW spends so much time frowning and gazing at the long grass. Frank says we need to get over into Lols field for his grass. I dnt fancy that.

Today when we were waiting for TW to come after work something wierd happened. Te result of which was that the electric fence at the top of the field got disconnected and me and frank ended up somewhere where we shouldn't have. Oops! Bracky stood and watched as he had a right gobful when he did it the other week. Me and frank were getting on fine until we heard a big shout! TW caut us. We both ran and got back t where we should have been. She said bad words and gave us some grass.

Sorry!

Ready to hunt

TW was a poorly bean today. She took me and frank into the stables for hay while Bracky ate hay in the soggy field. He ate a lot of hay!!

We nommed in our beds and then TW decided to take me for a poorly pootle. In the rain, it was a bit windy too. Jeez I'm only a baby. Through the village , no problem. Onto the bridlepath. Oooh it was slippy. When TW wasn't concentrating I plopped up the nettle bank and twatted her in the face with lots of branches. Oops! She turned me round and on we went. It was grotty. I slipped a few times but then we were on the flat and all was fine.

At the bench we went right and behind the hedge, lovely flat grass. Off we went trotting and cantering all the way along and then all the way back. Great fun. TW said we can pretend we are hunting hehehehe Wierdo! It was lovely though, nice and relaxed . In between cantering I stomped along on a nice long rein. I felt very grown up.

At the end of the ride we went behind the other hedge for another trot and canter but then TW felt ick again and we had to stop. I might have taken advantage abit and dragged her off to munch of sme trees! Oops! sorry!!

Sad day

Today I got left in the field while TW took frankie and his fat belly for a hack. I felt sad. She did come down and give me lots of kisses while her dad fixed the leccy fence thing again. That was nice. I didn't really want a day off today though.

More boy chums!!!

After a quiet week in the field today was a lovely day. My favourite Irish chum Rosko came to play!! Excellent. We had a lovely hack, up the hilly road and across onto the bridepath. Through the space centre bit which was very busy, past the fans which weren't on then back to the field.

Rosko borrowed Brackens stable and we had a nibble while TW and her chums sat and ate and drank tea and stuff. After a while I went back to the field and naughty frank was in the middle in the long grass. Bloated!

Lovely hack and the dressage game

Now yesterday the silly blog wouldn't work , how rude! So today I can tell you about yesterday and today!!

Yesterday I was ready for a relaxing day after my busy lesson on Friday. I was mooching about with TW and then all of a sudden a box appeared!! It was a new friend for me called Harry!! He was lovely. We went down the bridlepath , past the bench, down the other bridlepath and back up. Along the little bridlepath and home. Really nice and relaxed in the sunshine, side by side the whole way. Great fun!

After the nice hack we had sme munchies in the stable then I went back out with e boys.

Later on TW came back and we all came in!! Very odd! I had a wee wash and brush and then settled down in my bed.  TW and ZM came back really early! It was frosty and dark. Off we went to see Rosko and do something called a dressage test. It was rather interesting. Auntie Steph came too which was scary heheheh. Rosko did really well and got a lovely green rosette. TW was really happy too we got 60.8%!  Not bad for a first go!

Zzzzzzzz

Today was a busy day and niw I'm tired. Firstly I went off in the box again and had a lesson. It was tiring for me and TW , she really needs to get fitter. Today we just walked and trotted and practised some patterns . Very odd.

After the lesson I settled down on my own munching grass in the school and then the boys joined me. Later a lady came and messed with the saddle. She says I need to build more muscle and that I've git a short back like frank. Hopefully we can share a saddle for a bit longer as we are both probably a wide fit. I did some trotting and cantering in the field , the saddle lady says I always canter on my left leg but TW says I don't in lessons.

I was glad to go back to the field to munch some grass.

Chiro shindigs

Today I had another chiro treatment. It was free as we had a student come to us. It took along time but at least I got lots of kisses from TW.

I didn't reslly like the walking and trotting up in front of the chiro peeps. I think they were a little bit rude about me, I know it made TW mad. Something about pigeon toed and close behind. TW wanted to say bad words. She didnt though.

According to the chiro people I have some tightness in front which is from all the wrestling we do to get grass when TW says no. Frankie had the same problem. I had a bit of tightness and soreness in my back and my pelvis was apparently abit wonky . TW says its probably from slipping abut in the field.

There were lots of things said about me not walking straight heheheheh that's maybe because I'm nosey and walking straight is just boring. I'm ok t being straight when I'm ridden. At the end of the treatment which took for ages btw the student lady wanted to wiggle my feet around. I was fed up at this point and decided not to lift one of my feet up. hah!!

Afterwards I had some nice hay and more kisses while frank had his treatment. He's more expereinced in these matters and managed to cut his session short. Clever. It was nice when we went back to the field.

Thoresby

Today, TW and ZM and I headed off a long way in the box to a place called thoresby. It was full of horses and boxes. I liked eating the grass best.

It soon transpired that I was another one of those pleasure rides. Cool. I like them . This time we had to have a gentle ride. These seemed to involve us being overtaken by loads of sweaty trotty horses. I didn't mind. I had a lovely tme with my new friend Raf ( apart from when he bucked in my face) and Rio and Tess who were a bit grumpy but that's mares for you.

We saw bulls and babies ( scary), bikes and haylage and all sorts. It's was really nice. We had a canter  where I pulled TW out of the saddle and made her scared, a slow canter, a wobbly canter in front of the photographer and then I had a fast trot while the others had a gallop. TW was proud of me. Then her and ZM has a cheeseburger while I ate some grass and we went home.

Baby grumps

We've had a quiet week mostly. I'm not complaining. Today frank and I had some time in our beds. TW waved her newish clippers about. Frank was cross at her. I was scared. Then I had a nice groom and we practised a little routine in the school and had a little whizz round the village. I'm a bit grumpy today. Brack says its pmt like TW. Wierdo.

Lollipop lady

I was the only one who came in today. I didn't mind. I has lots of hay to nom and lots of chats with TW. I enjoyed it.

After a quick brush and hoof tidy I got tacked up.  I had a new necklace made from hi viz stuff from ZM. Me and TW set off through the village followed by ZM but no Zoe! Wierd. She came to help TW cross the busy road but tbh I wasn't fussed. Over we went and onto the bridlepath. TW asked ZM to wait for us. She's such a baby.

Off we pootled, I was marching along nicely . It was quite windy but sunny. TW chattered along about lots of things, it was quite interesting. We had a few tiny trots on the grass. When we got t the end there was a right noise. There were loads of fan things attached to the side of a building. Hmmmm. TW let me stand and look at them I just wanted to either go past the or go back. Whatever. We went back as TW said it was too stoney for my tootsies and ZM was waiting for us.

We didnt see anyone else at all on our trip. ZM scared TW though hiding in the hedge. After the nice hack we spent some time relaxing and then I went bak to the boys. Lovely. 

Busy road picnic

Windy day today. Me, frank and Brack had some time in our beds which were all fresh with new straw. Lovely. Frank went out for a ride with TW and the new girl on the yard. He wasn't impressed and said he prefers being out with the boys or Zoe if it has to be a girl.

When they got back me and TW went for a little in hand walk. We were meant it stretch our legs round the village but TW thought we could go and watch some cars on the busy main road. I didn't mind, just stood and nibbled some grass. S we crossed over and mooched about on the path on the busy road nibbling grass and weeds and stuf. It was nice. TW chuckled as she said we must look funny. Eventually we crossed back in the other entrance to the village and I ate some berries from the hedge. I did enjoy it.

We went back to the yard and had a nom in the school then we all went back to the field for a sleep in the sun.

Hard work for a baby

The field is really muddy at the moment, it's hard work walking in it tbh. This morning me and TW and ZM tootled off in the box. It was a drama getting there but we eventually arrived at the nice yard for another lesson. Oh dear. I worked super hard. It was good. We even cantered on both reins. TW was very pleased. Not sure why she thinks everything's such a big deal tbh. It was nice though. Although she wouldn't let me d any jumps. Boooo.

Afterwards I had loads of hay and dozed in my bed then the farrier came. I was very scared but I had some carrots to distract me. Phew. Busy day.

Bad worrier.

Today I was looking forward to going to a pony party with Rosko. It was a jumpy party. TW decided she was poorly so we couldn't go. That's bad TW. You did look a bit awful though.

I know you weren't right as you spent time with Brack. That's not normal is it?

Cross country splat

Now today Brack told me we'd probably have a day off, eating in our beds as the weather forecast was RUBBISH. Well the weather was poo but Brack was wrong. I went off in the box with TW and ZM. Only to a blinking cross country course. Oh my.

I just stood munching while we waited for the others to arrive, it was nice they were my chums from home in Ireland. We did some walking and getting and the rain got worse. Rubbish. Then it was time to get jumping.

TW says she likes jumping. Only it doesn't feel like she likes it. She gets all tense and clings to the reins. Auntie Steph lent us a martingale and TW learnt to cling on to it. Hehehe. After some false starts with crappy trotting and ducking out ( errr no actually TW making me run out) I got into my stride and had some right good fun. We even played in the water.

At the very end roskos mum said she was going to do the last jump so TW said we'd do it too. But it was a bleddy ditch thing. Errr no thank you. I skidded to a halt and ducked. TW splatted on the floor so I had a quick much. Then auntie Steph got on and made me do it properly. Booooooo! That was NOT such fun. Auntie Steph is a good rider. TW got ask on me and said lots of bad words hehehehe. We did the nasty ditch and log thing again twice. Then it was back to the box. Phew. Tired!

I had my first carrot from nancy! Nom. Ten it was back home for hay and sleep. The rain was still coming down. I asked if I could stay in bed but TW said no. At least we for some grass though.

Brave bot and the beating stick

Today was a sunny Sunday. I thought it was another relaxing day as TW came and went quickly but the boys said she was up to something. Sure enough she came back later and we all went in, even the Brack. Frank, Zoe and I got tacked up and ready to ride. TW got out her beating stick though. Booooo. Frank thought it was funny! The stick meant I had to be the front of the pack. Hmmm. Ok I can be brave.

We had a lovely ride down the bridlepath , had a few short trots. The stick meant I walked a bit quicker than the gang behind me. Oops. TW was pleased though and it was nice that she didnt keep kicking me with her chubby legs. The flies were abit annoying though.

When we got back to the village TW jumped off, me and her went right and frank and Zoe went off round the village. I didn't care. Frank didn't mind either. We are independent dudes  ;) After our ride we had some hay and I had a kip while frank and Brack went to the field. Afterwards I had some nice kisses but TW said I had to go to the field too. Poo. I wanted t sleep in my bed. Never mind.

Stomp

Dear worrier,

I think maybe I did something wrong today. I don't think it was all the kisses and cuddles we had when I helped you poo pick. I know it was a bit silly when I knocked the barrow over and threw poo everywhere. It was nice though.

 I think the wrong thing was when you were sitting in the sunshine. It wasn't when we were chatting , that wasn't wrong. But I think maybe when I lifted my leg and stamped really hard on your ankle ....maybe that was wrong? It made you shout anyway. Brack said it made him laugh though, so maybe it wasn't that bad?

Another lesson and a wee cut leg

After a gentle week mooching in the field , today I was back to work. ZM helped TW with the box and off we went to yet another stables. It was proper windy!

The instructor lady made TW work hard and TW made me work hard. Phew. Lots of trotting. I had to walk around the track in straight lines. That was hard. We did a few circles too. Lots of homework. TW was shattered. She says she's going to get fit. Frank told me not to hold my breathe but I think she'll do it. TW carried a blinking stick. Grrrrr.

When we got back to the yard I had a nice relax and ate lots of hay then it was back to the field. Oh did I tell you I've cut m leg? Brack was impressed he said that will get her worrying some more.

Scare the worrier

Bracken taught me a great game today. He told me about it and then I saw him demonstrate it perfectly out of the corner of my eye when I was eating my grub.

All you have to do it canter at TW with a crazed look in your eyes and see if you can get her to be scared and jump out if the way. Neither of us won today though. She just stood there and stared at us both and waggled her finger. We both ended up jumping out of the way before we flattened her.

I think I need more practise. Frank thinks mayb I need to give her a bit of a break after I splatted  her on the floor again yesterday . Bracky says I'm just teaching her to b a better rider......not sure who's right.

Why you on the floor worrier?

Today was another knackering day! Oh my!

TW came up early and off we went to the stable leaving frank and Brack behind. They weren't bothered, she gave them some grass I think. As we got to the yard I saw the box was open. Hmmmmm what's happening today I wonder?

I had some hay and had a nice brush and my tootsies sorted out. TW said I need some more magnesium as there are little stones getting in my hooves. Most annoying. After spraying me with the nice avocado fly sprey we got in the box and off we went. TW seemed very nervous. Wierdo.

We only went a short way in the box today. I knew we were near other horses and I gave a big shout. Off  I got. Omg there was a big school thing with jumpies in it. What on earth? So anyway, me and TW went and did a show jumping clinic thing with a nice mare that was also from Ireland. She was very fast! I think I enjoyed it although it was very hot and it's a lot of effort. I mostly liked the busts where the mare was jumping and I could sleep in the middle. I didn't like the bits where TW fell off ( why on earth did she do that? I could have sworn she wanted me to jump the jumpy?) I also wasn't so keen on when she borrowed a whip and smacked my bum.

I was sooooooo sleepy afterwards. That was a lot of work for me. When we got to the yard I had some hay and then went back  to the field. The boys couldn't believe that I'd been out jumping with a proper teacher and everything! I think I'd like to do it again. Just be nicer if TW was a bit more confident I think. That would be helpful. Oh and if she didn't fall off. Bracky liked that bit best.

Sloppy porridge

Today it was really hot. TW came up early and me and frank went into the stables for munching. I got loads of hay and frank went out for a hack. I didn't mind being left behind as I did lots of work yesterday. When they were gone I ate some more and had a snooze. Lovely.

When they came back we had some very sloppy grub. NOM. Then it was back to the field for some hay and a doze. Later on ZM came and gave us some more hay. What a nice day.

Busy day for the baby

Eeeee I'm tired. Today was a busy day. I'm pooped.

TW came up this morning and gave us some hay while she poo picked. NOM. Next she went away dr a bit and came back to catch me. But frank decided he wanted to come in too. So off we went, me and frank to NOM in our stables. Lovely.

After a bit I got groomed and sprayed and tacked up. I had a clicky leg when my tootsies were picked up. Ouch! We went into the school and did some walking and trotting over a red pole. we practised some stopping and starting and I even managed a tiny canter. TW wouldn't let me try it again though. Boring! ZM said I looked lovely :)

Then I had some more hay . Then I had a bath. Phew!! It was lovely though. TW game me lots of kisses too. Excellent.

TW and ZM poddled off for lunch and frank and I settled down for hay and snoozing. . Later in the blue haired one appeared and had a ride on bracken. Hehehehe bet that was fun. Then me and frank got tacked up and went out together. Wow!! It was great. I like walking behind him. We went through the village and down to the bench. I had a little Spook at a rabbit. Oops. Then we got to go in the field by the bench. It's all been mown. It's lovely down there!!

First we ha a little trot and then a slow canter with me at the front. Then a faster canter. Then we had a super race!! Hee haw!!! I was shattered after that and was pleased to get back to the field. Zzzzzzz.

Dear worrier

I think you've been very busy thus week. I've nit seen much of you at all. You look tired. It was nice to see you thus evening and have lots of cuddles. Me and frank are getting on good now.

Will we have some fun soon? My winter cost us coming through I think.

Dressage diva

TW lady has lost her confidence Brack reckons and he says it's ALL MY FAULT! Frankie says that's not true and she's just being a bit lazy and this happens every year. Frank says not to worry and actually it was falling off BRACK that started all the falling off nonsense. I hope she's not really scared, we've got lots of work to do together. I like working.

Today was a nice day anyway. We had hay in the field and then hay in the stable. Yum. Then hay on the yard while I had my toosies picked and and sprayed with tea tree stuff. Next me and TW went into the school and did sme riding practise. I tried very hard t be a good boy. We did some stopping and starting. TW was pleased cos I knew when she wanted to stop cos she breathed in and sat differently. I got lots of pats. We practised changing direction and finished by doing a big circle in both directions. Just in walk. It was nice.

For the rest of the day I got to relax in my stable and munch and chat with frank. Then we went back to the field, Brack was pleased to see us! Then we had some grass. Yum.

Lovely cuddles

Today TW decided to have a slow day as the hay was making her sneeze and feel grotty. She came to the field and let us on the drive while she did sme poo picking. Then me and her had some lovely cuddles. The grass is growing abit I think but she still moved some fence posts for us but frank says the grass is crap and not to eat it.

Later on TW came back and had a funny looking man with her. We marched over for a cuddle and he gave us a stroke. Brack says he's scared of us, duno if thats true. TW moved some more fence posts. Frank said that was nice grass so we ate it.

Sore boy

Today was a funny one. There were nice bits and not so nice bits.

The nice bits were

1. Going out in the box with TW in the sunshine
2. Having a lovely hack with my chum Rosko who comes from Ireland like me!
3. Seeing lovely Auntie Steph and her pals, she said I was looking lovely
4. Meeting Manny, he was nice
5. Having a lovely sleep in Marleys stable after eating his haylage, a bucket of hay and drinking his water heheheeh
6. Having a nice shower when I got home

The not so nice bits were

1. The flies were annoying
2. My gums are sore, I think my toofy pegs are coming through
3. I've got wee bruises on my tootsies and my feet are a bit sore.

After a lovely busy day it was fab to get back to my boys in the field. The we're right happy to see me and shouted hello. That was lovely too. TW says she's going to get some bonny jelly stuff to rub on my gums tomorrow, hope it tastes nice.

Cheeky monkeys

Some ponies tried to break into our field today. I think that's rude. It was proper scary. As was all the wind. And the rusting noises. And the whistling noise that the gate makes. Frank and Brack were scared too. It was ok though because TW came and we hid behind her until we were last the bad things and got to the grub. NOM.

Hmmm an adventure

Today was interesting. We ate some grass and then me and TW went to the yard. I had some hay, had a brush, TW did my tootsies ( which she says are thrushy ) and then I got on the box. Interesting!!

We didn't go far. Apparently it was the place that frankie used to live at. There were a couple of nice
people about and some lovely horses. Then off we went out with a lovely coloured mare called topaz. I think she was showing off a bit for me. Girls are so silly!!

It was interesting hacking as there were lots of bridlepaths. And fields. And sheep. And a bridge. Didn't like the bridge and got a smacked bum. Still didn't like the bridge until topaz showed me it was safe.

We did some walking, some trotting, some lovely canters although TW wouldn't let me go as fast as I wanted. At the end we even did some jumpies over a log thing in a field of sheep. Now I think TW was scared. She wanted to jump but she was scared I wouldn't do it and she would go splat. Jeez. How rude. She kept telling me to do it and then when we got close she changed her mind. I walked over it. I ran past it. I stopped on top of it. Hehehe. Finally we followed topaz and did a nice couple of lovely cantery jumps when she finally trusted me to let go of the reins abit. Fgs. More jumping needed I reckon.


When we got home I had some hay and a lovely sleep. Nice day.

A no buck splat hack

TW arrived early this morning. I think she was nervous. When she got to the field she was more grumpy as Brack and frank were stood nomming in the long grass. She did laugh a bit too. Then she went back to being nervous. I'm not sure why?

We went up to the yard and then I had some nice hay. Dnt think it was timmy hay mind. I has my hooflets picked out and was very good. TW gave me lots of praise. She put on the fly sprey and tacked me up.

When she got on I made a swift march for the grass. She let me have a munch. That was nice. Then off we went. Through the village. Down the little bridlepath. She was singing some very strange songs but if it keeps her happy hehehehe.

The bridlepah was surprisingly busy for early on a sunday morning. I wasn't keen on the dogs in the distance and a ladY  jogger crept up behind us. That didn't bother me though. TW took a deep breath and said lets trot. So we trotted. No sooner was I trotting but she wanted me to walk. And then trot. And then walk. Make your mind up!! Then she said lets canter. Whheeeee! Oh trot again. She was very pleased with the canter. I think it was because I didn't kick my back legs in the air and tipple her on the floor? So we trotted some more and cantered some more. And we trotted some more and cantered sme more. Quite honestly I would have liked to canter a whole lot more but there were some scary plants about and TW said we had to be careful. It was great fun.

On the way back she jumped off and let me graze for a while and then we went to the yard where I had some more grass and posed for some pictures. Then it was time to go back to the field. Im sure it's nearly time for the hunty dogs to go out you know....I'd like a bit of that action.

How odd

I've had another week off following my little Bucky do dah last weekend. TW came to get me and frank this morning and I was a bit unsure about being caught. I'm glad I did let her catch me thou. I had a lovely treat.

Firstly, we had some hay. NOM. That was nice. Then the odd thing happened. A lady arrived . She asked TW sme questions about me. Nosey! Then I had to go out onto the street and start walking to the field. That's fine although it was windy and I didn't want to leave frank.

Then, I had to walk back to the lady. That was confusing. I didn't understand why. Then I had to turn round and trot away. Oh my days I was really confused. Then she made me turn little circles and back up which I did nicely. The lady was laughing at me, she said it looked like I didn't know that my feet were mine! But apparently I have a nice trot. TW said that's because I think walking is dull. Hehehe.

Next, me and the lady went into the stable. She did all these funny stroking things on me. Frank was well annoyed. I think he was jealous. She checked all over me to see if I was tight or sore anywhere. Nope! I'm good Ta. She was very pleased with me I reckon. Frank was disgusted. The lady said if I seem ok then I don't need to be checked for another year. Fra Nk Lauhed  and said I'd be lucky. Not sure what he means. After that I went back to the field and we had some lovely grass TW says I can't go out with the bloodhounds on Sunday though. That made me sad.

Not sure what happened today

Today I was quite sleepy and slow I think. Frank and I went to the stables for a NOM and he went out for a little hack. Afterwards it was my turn. I was slow as I've not been out for two weeks and not been out in my own for a bit longer.

We went slowly down the bridlepath, I wanted to walk on the grass for a change, maybe my tootsies were sore. We went right at the bench and behind the hedge, had some lovely big trots. After a while we saw the YO and his doggies so we slowed right down and went past. There was a blue cost lady behind the hedge which made me jump abit. Through the hedge we went then TW suggested we could have a little trot on the edge of the stubble field. I didn't like that so much tbh.

Back on he bridlepath and we decided to have a nice canter. I've not cantered there before. It started off well but I'm not sure what happened next. Buck buck splat runnnnnnnnnnnn!!!!! Not sure if the doggies scared me or if something bit me or whether im a bit sore somewhere? TW ended up on the floor in a heap , I ran to the end of the bridlepath as fast Ian's I could then turned round to check she was ok. I could see she was moving so I carried on to eols field and stood grazing. 

Eventually TW was feeling better I think ! She caught me up and off we set back to the staBles, we found ZM and rm on the way who wanted to check we were ok. Back at the yard, TW go back on me nice and simple and we had a little walk and trot round the boring school thing. Then it was grub time and back to Bracky in the field.

Visitors

Today I was ready to come out and play but TW said I had one more day resting. Hmmmm. Ok. We're making good progress in the great hay race , in fact we are getting a tiny bit bored of hay. So bracken told me to pee on it. Apparently that's naughty. Sorry!


Later on we had some lovely visitors from roskos family. That was lovely. I had lots of kisses and cuddles. I think I need to get some exercise soon as its or long until the next pleasure ride.

The best bed is a hay bed

I'm enjoying my week off. Not only do we have a lovely big bale of nommy hay in the field but I got to spend the night snoozing in the hay. It was like a big snuggly yummy bed. Lovely! I even found that it was possible to lie down and snooze and eat hay at the same time!! How lovely is that?

Another relaxing day today. When TW came up we were sleeping in the bottom corner in the sun. She opened the gate and we made our way out of the field for a nice sunny picnic. Later on we had an amazing delivery ...a huge bale of  hay in the field. Wow!

Am I retired?

Bracken says that we are all retired because TW is a lazy daisy. He says maybe she'll sell us all s she can just sit on her bum all day. Frankie just laughed and said Bracks a Nobber. We had lots of hay and grass today which was nice. There's been some sun and some rain. I hope I'm not going to move again, I love my friends.

I like eating too

I agree with frankie. Hay is amazing. I need more to eat , I'm a growing boy.

A big race and then a rest day

Yestersay TW and me went off on an adventure again. It was great fun. Bracky and frank had lots of hay and me and TW went off to do a pleasure ride at Shipley park. This one was busier than the first one we did and I rode with a different girl. A lovely Anglo Arab called kez. My she was fast. We did lots of trotting and had some great canters including one where I kindly went through loads of trees which slapped TW in the face. Hehehe. I walked past a donkey, over some bridges and a horse style thingy. I loved it. At the end I shared my Haynet with lovely kez ans then it was time to go home for some more hay. Today TW thought I'd be knackered but I wasn't. We all had a ce restful day though in the sunshine with TW and the muscley dog. The rain started again but it's gone again now.

What's with all the hay?

TW was back at work today or training as she called it. Bracky said that means sitting round with a load of nobbers being nobby. I think that's rude though. In the morning , TW appeared and gave us a big huge bag of timmy hay to share. Yum. Later on ZM appeared and gave us a bit more hay and fiddled with the fence and made another bit sappy. That's not nice. At tea time TW came back, we were so happy we cantered around the track to see her. She gave us a bowl of grub and another bag of hay.but this time she scattered the hay all akut so we had to walk around for it. I don't understand so much why she feeds us all this timmy hay when there's loads of grass . Bracky sAYs ITs cos sheS a bleddy control freak and maybe she should control her own eating. Frank just laughed and says he likes timmy hay and loves TW lots. I don't mind, it's all good here. Just confusing.

Oirish friends

Today was an exciting day. Firstly, Bracky had broken the fence and was in the wrong field when TW arrived. She was worried about him but he didn't want her to check him out. He just tootled back through when she opened the gate and trundled over to me and frank. Bless him. TW gave us lots of hay which was lovely but then she came and took me to the yard. Frank was a. It upset that he got left behind I think. Sorry! I munched some hay and had a little brush. I was very good when TW picked my feet out. Then CRUNCH we heard a noise! TW and the muscley dog ran off to investigate leaving me tied to the wall. Hmmmm. After a little while they came back and then a sparkly lilac Barbie mobile appeared. What on earth?? It was only Rosko come to visit me! I gave him a shout and then went to sleep. He has a big lump on his face you know but I tried not to stare at it, that would be rude. After a while We got tacked u for a little hack. We were going to go to the woods but then they decided to do the little bridlepath. Hmmm it's spooky with friends you know? The flies were annoying too. We went past the bench and on, damn flies . I got a smacked bum! Ouch that's nasty! Then it was decided that we would go a different route to escape the beasties. Through the village, Rosko was much faster than me. To be honest his worrier is skinnier than mine, I need to sort that out I think. Out onto the main road, woweee the traffic was busy!! TW wanted roskos worrier to stop looking behind but she refused. It was all abit confusing! Past a crazy petrol station thing then down past a little yard and down some windy roads. We saw loads of things, a whole gaggle of cyclists, tractors, lorries, motorbikes. Obviously I wasn't bothered. We did get a little scared by a dog though. Rosko and I took it in turns to be at the front ( well I went in front when we were opn the way home hehehe). It was great fun. When we got home Rosko borrowed Bracks stable and we had a munch and a doze. I think we might do it again soon.

Little jump

Yesterday was a day off in the sunshine. It was lovely. Today it was even hotter. Phew! Me and frankie came in for some munching and frank had a little hack. He said th flies we're nasty though :( After some more munching I went into th soggy school. Not for grazing though. For work! I did some walking around and then we went up to a red and white pole thing. Oh my goodness! It was scary. I walked back a bit and forward and stared at it and glared at it. Eventually I closed my eyes and walked over it very fast. Phew. TW was pleased with me. Oh. S we did it again and again from both directions. I'm brave. After a bit we trotted over it and then had a small jump. It was fun. Not very big though. Then I had sme grub and went back to the field to snooze with my bros. nice day.

Brave bot, scary tractor

I enjoyed my night in the stable. Frankie taught me a good trick, throwing the water bucket around. It made my bed soggy though. Oops. It was nice to have a rest but my bed ended up as wet as the soggy field. Oh dear! We all had a little graze in the school which was nice, then after brekky I got tacked up and off we set. I was excited as we went towards the main road but we headed up the hilly road! I've never been that way before. TW sang to me which was nice and we marched along together in the sunshine. It was lovely. The cars were being very good and giving us lots of room. TW said it was the double hi viz that helps. Anyway all went well until some sneaky cows on the other side of the road gave me a shock. The next thing there was a HUGE monster coming towards us. OMG. It was a tractor thing with a tank and all scary bits. As soon as TW saw it she took a big breathe as she remembered some scary stories about tractors that roskos mummy had told her. I marched up to it , span round and cantered down the hill. Well I started too but TW lady asked me to stop. So I did. We went back. I froze . Skipped about a bit. It was really terrifying. The farmer man pulled grumpy faces at TW. She pulled sad faces back and asked him to turn off the engine. Eventually he got bored of shaking his head and jumped out and said he'd lead me past it. So he did. I thought about spooking at the motorbike behind the tractor thing but TW said tha would be pushing me luck. Off we went, turned onto a stony track, I didn't like it as I could see more tractor things in the distance. TW said I'd got to be a good boy so off we went again. Down and round the track, past the house , by the space centre . There was lots of scary stuff there but TW let me stand and look at things until I got bored and then we marched past. On the grassy bridlepath we had a wee trot but tbh I was shattered. I was so pleased when I got back in my stable and finished my breakfast. Frank and Brack went out to the field first and then TW and the little dog had some tea and biscuits. TW sprayed me with fly stuff and purple spray on. Y ear . GAH! Hate it. When I got to the field I made sure I had a lovely roll , knocked the scabs off my ear then marched over to TW to show her. She just laughed. I did a bit of skidding about to get to the hay and the settled down with my buds to munch. Phew. Busy day.

I'm back

Dear people Sorry I've not been writing much, Franklyn hasnt wanted to play with the iPad thing this week and Bracky can't find the charger for his laptop. The weather has been soggy and I've been resting this week. TW keeps trying to make nice plans for us but the weather makes things get cancelled. It's not so good. But I've enjoyed eating hay in the field. Frank and I have been getting on a bit better I think. Today he three of us and Zoe spent the day in our bedrooms getting dry and eating. It's a nice change. TW said we could stay in our beds until Saturday morning to help us dry out and sleep and to give the field a rest. We had some meadow hay and some timmy hay and a graze in the school. I promise to be better with my blog Tom x

I'm only a baby with a sore ear

Today was a sunny day. I like sunny days. TW came to the field and put out lots of hay and then took me up to the yard. I had a walk around and ate lots of grass with the muscley dog. Then I had a nice brush. I enjoyed that. The muscley dog got jealous and barked at me so she had to go in the car. Heheheh. Then me and TW set off for a lovely sunny Sunday hack. Just in the village we saw the fat rude woman with her off lead dogs. The big ugly dog came towards us and stopped and barked. TW said to the nasty lady that I was only a baby but she just stared at us. TW muttered and then we marched at the dog. Eventually they scuttled off. TW was mad. I was a bit snotty. TW said the bad c word a lot of times and then apologised. I don't like it when she swears like that. Frank thinks its funny. Anyway, we went down the bridlepath and then we carried on. We went further than I'd ever been on my own before. At times I got scared so we went very slowly. We ended up in a little village. That was really overwhelming. I got lots of pats and praise though. Eventually we turned round and went along the bridlepath I did with Zoe the other night and had a few trots. Then we headed home and managed a little canter but I was pooped. It's exhausting doing all this new stuff. TW gave me loads of hay and then I had a sleep while they went to watch some cow ponies jumping. Was glad when I got back with my friends. I had a big roll in the mud and rubbed my ear sore again :( ouchy.

Day of rest

Hi everyone, Sorry I didn't post yesterday, I was very tired and the rain was making the iPad shonky wonky. Yesterday I had a scary lesson. There were farriers setting ponies feet on fire while I was trying to work. I was terrified! I crept around the school very slowly, did a few spooks and tried to hide behind nice tim man. I also did sme super fast trots and played around the jump wings. Phew. I was shattered! Today I had a day off. I had some cuddles in the field with TW and helped her poo pick. Frankie wanted to cuddle me too but I was confused so he rolled his eyes and walked off. I've caught my ear again and it's all bloody. Ouchy. There's been we sun today too which was nice. NOM NOM , zzzzzzzzz.

Mutual grooming

Hi everyone, hope you're ok? Today was another nice relaxed day. Which was good. TW came and spent some time in the field with us this morning, she picked us lots of flowers and weeds as a treat. I like the hawthorns and thistles best. She picked some poo too and then spent lots of time watching us. Now, I get on nicely with the boys nowadays mostly. Which is lovely. But every so often they wander of and kind of itch and groom each other. TW asked them the other day if I could join in but the ignored her. Today, after munching we all pootled over to the fence to have a doze in the sun. Frank and Brack started scratching each other. I wandered about a bit. And then felt brave. I got closer. And closer . I reached out a few times and wobbled my lip at bracken. He didn't seem to mind. Excellent ! I reached over to him AND BIT HIM REALLY HARD!!!! Oh!he didn't like it??? TW laughed. Frank told me off. I'm confused. I'll try again tomorrow I think?

Spooky tree!

Today, after a day of nibbling and dozing in the sun TW decided that we were going for a hack with Zoe. That was nice, I get a but more scared when I'm not on my own though i Think. We went down the bridlepath, past the nasty bench and past a funny blue barrel. There were a few scary plants though that i had to give a sideways stare at. Had some nice trotties although TW was a bit tired again. On the way back a scary tree trunk appeared. I jumped left to ge awa from it. Oops. We ended up in a ditch full of nettles. Oh dear. It was rather deep. TW didn't fall of which was good, we stood for a little minute and then TW said come on hunter pony, and we scrambled out and got on our way. It was a lovely hack although occasionally I needed a little kick . TW said smetimes she forgets I'm a baby and mabe expects me to be to brave but I don mind. I am mostly brave. After the hack it was back to my chums for grass and grub. Lovely.

brack bites back

Today I had a day off, it was kind of nice but I do like going out on adventures too. TW came up in the morning and gave us a huge back of hay to share and then did some poo picking, I didnt knock the barrow over today. I think that was the right thing to do.

I spent the day eating and mooching, sleeping and rolling mostly. The rain kept coming and going. It makes the field soggy. In the evening TW came back with some hay. I got very excited and charged about. ITS MINE!! Frankie rolled his eyes. I ran at Brack shaking my head, get away pony. OH! Bracky bit me :(  TW laughed and said it served me right.

Then she took Frank away. Without me. I couldnt believe it. I gobbled up the hay really quickly and then shouted and shouted. And shouted. And shouted. Eventually they came back but TW was riding Frank. OH! That was strange! They checked I was ok and then off they went. I shouted some more.

A good while later they came back and we had some grass. We all had some cuddles which was nice. The grass was better.

Tom the Machine

TW lady was poorly today so had some time to spend with us. She gave Frank and Brack some timmy hay and then took me to the yard. It took quite a while to get me out of the field as I was scared by the big blue monsters. TW told me a secret, ITS HAY!! All of a sudden I wasn't scared any more!

Up at the yard she shut the gate and let me wander around on my own. It was nice. I ate some grass and some weeds and then went to my stable for some hay. Lovely! Then I got tacked up and off we went. TW had a grumble as I tried to shoot off down the drive as soon as she was on board. She needed to do my girth up she said. Sorry!!

When we finally got onto the drive the nasty dog barked and made me jump. TW said a very bad word and someone tapped on the window. I hope they weren't tapping at us? I don't like naughty dogs and it made me scared for the next five minutes or so. That wasn't nice.

We just went down the bridlepath again and this time did right at the bench. We had a superlong trot and then another super trot. TW was tired. I wasn't. We went through the hedge and had another trot. I think cantering is nice, TW agreed so we had a lovely long canter too, her legs were tired and she was a bumpy sack of irish spuds. Its fine though, she sorted it out and I'm strong. We had another canter and then we both had a rest. TW said trotting is important if we are going to do some more of those nice pleasure rides. That will be good. I nodded and said cantering is important for when we go HUNTING!!! She just puffed and said I was half tank , half machine. I think it was a compliment.

Back at the yard I had some hay and TW talked to the grumpy farrier man about hunting. He also made a comment about Frankie pulling a gypsy cart, TW said a bad word to him. Back in the field we had lots of grass and hay and I enjoyed bossing Brack about. Its hard to jump out of Franks way in the slippery mud though.

Little hack

Today was a nice day I think. Back to work, I like my work at the moment. Me and frankie came in together and had some of that nice timmy hay to munch. Then I got a quick brush over, TW says we need new brushes . Purple ones I hope. I let her pick out all my tootsies because I had a bowl of hay. Frankie says I'm training her well!! My ears not too bad today, I didn't let her look too closely at it but my bridle went on fine. We had a little stroll down the bridlepath and past the bench. I'd never been that way before. It was nice. I'd like to go father though tbh. On the way back TW let me munch some weeds which was lovely. She says we are going to try and get fitter now, frankie laughed when I told him and said don't hold your breathe. Why would I hold my breathe? Wierd! I do think I like my new home and family :) I hope I stay here.

Ouch

I've lost a bit of my ear. I'm not sure where it's gone? Have you seen it? I don't know if it got stuck in the thorns in the hedge or whether one of the ponies did a mike Tyson on me. It's a bit sore and bloody but I think it will heal up ok. TW was scared that a Wierdo had been in the field and hurt me. Bracken thought that was funny, he said the only Wierdo that comes in our field is HER!!! That's a bit rude I think. We had lots of hay today , TW was poorly and needed a rest. I think we need a plan to get fit soon, me , Frank and TW. Brack says he will be our trainer.....im not so sure about that....

Dear bracken , I think I might have been a little bit rude today. I'm sorry. I don't like sharing my food bowl. I know you and frankie do it but I'm a growing pony. Maybe it was a bit excessive to snort, shout and attempt to double barrel you. Without taking my head out of the bowl. I think the worrier was shocked. Lots of love Tom

dear lovely owner lady of mine, Frankie says today I have to write you a special letter to say sorry. He tells me that it doesn't happen very often unless your name us bracken but p sometimes we are wrong and it's best to admit it and move on. I didn't know that it was naughty to stand on the hay sack to stop you dragging it down the track. Oops. I was just hungry and wanted he timmy hay to stay with me . By the way, bracken told me that when you sprey fly sprey that the game is to run away! I didn't know that before! I think I got it right tonight though? Love Tom X

I've had a few days off now. That's nice. We get lots of hay and grass I think. TW says I need more food as I'm a growing boy but frank doesn't agree. Him and Brack got out off the track today and ate long grass in the midle of the field. I didn't bother. I made the right choice I think as TW came and caught them and gave me half a bale of hay for being good. That was lovely. She got them onto the track with less swearing than usual. Brack was scared though, he jumped the fence to get away from her. It was funny. She then made all the fencing sparky nd clicky. They didn't like that. I wonder when we will go for a ride again ? I think it rains here more than in Ireland you know.

Pleasure ride

Dear me I'm tired today. It was an exciting day indeed. TW was up early which was nice. Before long we were off in the box with ZM , it seemed like we were travelling for ages. We finally arrived at a farm type place I think. There were other horses about, it was exciting. I thought we might be going hunting. There were no hounds though. That's a shame. We waited around a it and them a nice mare called Carla arrived and off we went. It was lovely, apart from the stoney bits. We did 9 whole miles!!! It felt like more I think. We had sme lovely canters and saw all kinds of wierd and wonderful things. Eventually we got back to the farm, we were so happy Carla and I both shouted out. Then it was back on the box for a snooze and some hay while TW drove us home. I'll sleep well tonight I think.

Favourite

I think I might be TWs favourite today. Bracken says I'm to be careful or frank will bite my bum. I don't think he minds really though? We have a new routine at the moment which confuses me. I've had so many changes. In the mornings we have hay and feed and he fence gets moved out and turned on. A tea time the fence goes off and we get some long grass. It was really hot again today and the flies were even worse. I got picked to go for a little hack with Zoe which was nice and I let TW pick my tootsies out with less fuss today. She spent some time messing mith my feet and thinking about my legs today. She said she thought I was a bit stiff. I think my feet are just a bit sore and it was too hot. Frankie says if I play it right I can pretend I have something called EPSM , he says it's quite useful. I'm not sure what he means.

Spooky Tuesday

The nice worrier lady came up early again today. She was a bit mean though I think. She gave us ha which was nice although the boys say this hay is no where near as nice as timmy hay whatever that is. She then proceeded to move lots of fence posts to take away the grass. And then she turned on a fresh battery. That's just mean. We spent the day relaxing but there was certainly less food than normal. TW came back a tea tme. I was pleased to see her. She checked frank over and then decided to take me in. That was nice. I was pleased. A bad man had parked a car and trailer near my field, he was angry at TW. I don't know why, it was scary. We went to the staBle and then had a battle to pick my feet out. Oh dear. That wasn't nice. TW said some bad words but I think it was mostly because of the angry man. Today I was a bit nervous , from the nasty man and his trailer and grumpy TW. I was very good when she tacked me up and off we went. My feet were abit sore today I think. Down the little bridlepath. It was nice. I did some shootings ting but TW just laughed, she was very relaxed today. We had a few little trots but I wasn't so fussed, I had to kee my eyes open for scary things. We went nearly all the way along and then behind the hedge. Beejeezus!!! Sorry for the bad language! There were two big tractor things. I stood. I stared. I wiggled abit and wondered if I could spin and run. TW said no and just sat there. Eventually I trundled past with one eye on the tractors and one leg ready to run. After the tractors we had a small canter and then we went back up towns the village. Frank and Brack were watching us from their hill by the water. I managed a big spook at a bird and then TW banged her head on a tree and spooked at that too. Then at something else. My poor legs were going everywhere! Then we walked together back to the stables , I had a quick munch of hay and then back to the field for some long grass. The angry man wasn't there this time. I was glad.

Munching Monday

Yesterday was a quiet day I think. So was today. Today it got HOT too. Wierd! TW came up early this morning. It's nice to see her. She seems interested mostly in frankie again today. I'm not sure why. He seems fine to me. Brack said to get used to it and she's dun-ist and prefers the gypos . I don't understand him most of the time. I gave TW a shoulder barge t make sure she didn't forget me. She came back at tea time. How lovely. But she wanted frankie again. While she was at the gate I surprised her by trotting at the gap very quickly. Bracken taught me that one. She was going to take me in to but couldn't reach my head collar. So she left me. I shouted . When they came back I went to her for a kiss but wouldn't have a cuddle. I was a bit miffed with her. She gave us some grass though which was nice.

Quiet day , poorly frank

Today was a mostly simple day I think. Which was nice. TW came to the field, I went for a hug and then wondered off when I realised she wanted to catch me. She caught me anyway. Bracken laughed. The weather was rubbish and frankie was feeling poorly which was a shame. TW decided to take us all in to the stables, all together. That was interesting. Bracken wanted to kick me, I think. He's a grump. We grazed a bit In the school then went to our beds for a rest and some hay. TW spent lots of me with frank as she was worried bout him. After a while we went back to the field and the track was open all the wa rond the field! Wow! We spent the rest of the day eating. I like eating.

Saturday fast day

Errm evening peoples. Today was mostly a nice day I think. TW lady was up early, I was pleased to see her again so went wondering over to her. Brack and frank didn't though. I only wanted a hug but she wanted to catch me. O dear. I sort of wandered away when I realised that but she followed me so I gave up. Bracken rolled his eyes in disgust at me I think. He's a bit rude I find. There were all kinds of scary things in the hedge today and I didn't want to leave he safety of my friends. TW lady was very nice but said I had to go with her. Oh dear. I tried to convince her but she said she's the boss. That confused me I think because that's not what frank and Brack say. I did a few spooks and stopped a few times but eventually I made my way to the yard. Normally when we get to the yard I get into my bed but today TW tied me up by Bracks stable. It was fine. She gave me a brush which was nice and then picked my feet out . I'm not so keen on that. I think I find it hard to get my balance. She says we need to practise more. She started to tack me up, I didn't like the bridle going on again, the man the other day said it was because I didn't want to be ridden. That's not true. I think maybe it's because I'm a baby and my teeth are coming through? Anyway, today I had franks bridle on and that felt nicer I think. Off we set, TW said I felt a bit lively today, I shouted lots so she talked to me which is nice , it helps me feel a bit more relaxed I think. We went down the bridlepath, she had to tell me to slow down a few times. Oops. Zoe and I shouted to each other which was fun. At the end I had a little spook at the bench but TW helped me stay calm. Today we turned right and kept on going. That was nice. There was a lady with a whistle in front of us with two dog things. I relaxed a lot more and started to try and grab some weeds, that's not allowed apparently. After a while we turned round and I was allowed to do some trotting!!! That was lovely, I didn't need a kick or anything. TW lady was pleased. By the bench we went behind a hedge and did some more trotting and then we had a canter! That was lovely. I didn't want to stop but TW said it was best not to do to much yet. Trough the hedge we went then back to the yard, I got into my bed and had some lovely hay and grub and played with my lickit. I'm not really sure what it's for but the more I rub my lips on it the more I think I like it. TW lady sat with me in the stable for s bit which was nice and then I had a snooze. Later on I went back to the field for some grass. I think it was a nice day.

Rain and rest

Today was a quiet day I think. The rain keeps coming down . I thought it was meant to be the summer? I'm sure the weather wasn't like this back in Ireland? TW came up in the morning with a HUGE bag of hay for us. I went over to have a munch, I was a bit hungry. But the wind was blowing and I felt a bit scared I think so eventually I went over to the others who were eating grass. I think I would have liked a day in bed today, maybe I could do that to tomorrow? There is a good thing about the rain though, the flies aren't so annoying. We only saw TW once today. That was a bit sad, I hope she comes back. Brack says she's like a bad penny , always turning up. I'm not really sure what tha means though. Frank just laughed and said Brack can talk. Well of course he can or how would we chat to each other? They do confuse me sometimes.

Lesson day.....

Today was a strange day I think. Strange but nice. TW came to the field early and don't look like she was going to that work place. It was raining and horrid so I made the decision to be brave and marched past frank and Brack to see her. Phew! It was ok they didn't care. Into the stables I went to get dry. I think it's nice in the stable. There's always hay and straw. I didn't get to stay in there too long though. TW put a lovely new purple head collar on me and took me round to a Horsebox. In the Horsebox there was a huge great net of hay! Wowee!! On I got and started munching. Off we went in the box , I was a bust scared I think . I thought maybe I was moving house again. But it was ok. We went somewhere called a riding school. It was fun! There were ponies and cows and geese and people who admired me. TW tacked me up with help from Zoe's mum and we went into a nice arena thing. A nice man stood in the middle and helped TW ride me better. It was very interesting I think. ZM took photos, I like having my photo taken. After a bit I got untacked and back on the box for more hay. Off home we went,that was a relief! Then into my stable for sme nay and food and a lovely snooze. What a nice day.

Chewyday

Hey again, just me Tom again. Thanks errrr for popping by again. Today was a bit of an errrrr funny day or something I think. TW lady didn't appear this morning and that worried me a bit. She normally comes up every morning I think? The boys laughed and said she was probably just being lazy or something. They tease me quite a bit I think. Another lady popped by to see us though which was nice , she have us some hay and got frankie from the middle of the field where he wasn't meant to be. That was a bit funny I think, Brack cackled his head off when the lady had gone. It was a nice sunny day again which is good but the flies were even worse today. Frank said I need to grow my hair and that will help. But I wouldn't be a punk then would I? Hmmmmm. TW appeared at tea time , we all so happy to see her. Frank and Brack trotted round the track but I cantered round with a big smile on my face! We all had cuddles and a bowl of food and then she gave us some grass. I'm glad she came back . Frank said I have attachment issues or something and said that in his opinion TW is always there even when you don't want her to be. I'm not sure what he meant by that though?

Monday

Hey everyone Me again, frank said I could borrow his iPad wotsit again , he even le me go first today :) mmmmmm I'm not really sure what to write but frank says it gets easier so I'll try my best. I always try my best I think. It was a sunny day today which is nice although I ermmm don't really like the fly things that come out in the nice weather. Bracky says you can get some sprey and special rugs and things errrr but I don't think I really need them....but I'm not really sure? I'll just follow what they do I think. Is that right do you think? The worrier lady came up early today. She was dressed funny. Frank says she goes to someplace called work to earn money to pay for us errrrrr I don't really understand what that means but it must be true cos frank is very clever and has known the worrier lady for longer than Brack and me. She put out some slices of hay and gave us a quick cuddle and checked the fencing. It's nice to see her. The boys tell me that she has a little routine but I'm not too sure what it is yet? Errrr I find it a bit confusing really cos I've moved about a bit recently. It's ok though, I don't mind. I think it would be nice t stay here for a while it seems nice. I think. Mostly today I did some eating and sleeping and rolling. And tried to keep out of the way of franks teeth. They can be sharp! Him and bracken bite each other all the time but they never bleed. That's wierd. Is baby skin more sensitive do you think? TW lady came back in the evening, it was quite late I reckon. We were all stood snoozing in the sunshine. She gave us a bowl of food each and some grass and hay. Is that wierd? I'm not really sure why we get some many options of food here? I don't think all the other horses I've known get so much choice, I think maybe we re very lucky but frank says TW lady is just very particular about who we eat. Bracky said some rude words about her and said maybe she should worry about her own diet, I don't think that's very nice , is it? I think she seems nice, she gave me lots of cuddles tonight, I would like to spend more time with her but I have to stick with the boys or Bracky takes the Mickey out of me and frank gets grumpy. She prodded me a bit today, wibled my Mohican and spent time touching my feet.....it was wierd. She was obsessed with my white foot. Frank rolled his eyes and said thas why we call her the worrier. Best go now, frank wants to write his blog. Bracky doesn't have one , he says it wouldn't get past the censors or something because he would swear all the time. That's a bit rude I think. Ellloooooo

Evening all, Errrrrrrr. Ello. I'm. Errrrr tommy. Mr Squire. Bug Punk Thug. Errrrrrr. I'm a bit ere sleepy , I'm only a baby you see. Hmmmm,m.....what was I saying? Oh yeah, I'm Tom. I'm mostly Irish. I came over the sea a couple of weeks ago and now I live in the Easty Miderlands. Or something. It's nice I think. I've got some horsey friends, sorry pony pals. Lots of people seem to like me. There's a little black dog who hangs around a lot. I think. Maybe Ive dreamt them . I sleep a lot. I think. So anyway. Errrrr. Not really sure what to write really? Today I have mostly been eating grass. Amd sleeping. I went for a walk over the busy main road and along the bridlepath with the person I see most. Frank calls her the worrier. I'm not so sure about that. He way she was shouting at bracken today I think I'd call her something else. But that would be rude...... The walk was nice. Saw some horses. Ate some grass. Ate some weeds. Had a hug from a strange running man. Came back and went to sleep. I liked it. Had a lovely kip. I like sleeping, did I mention that already? Soooo......erm . That's me. Tom.
