Change of plan

I was lovely and comfy snoozing on the floor while my dudes watched over me this morning when TW arrived. I think I'm feeling better at the moment although the worms in my tummy are still making there way out and TW is hyper-sensitive to colic. She's not sure if I keep looking at my guts or if I'm just being nosey. Anyhoo I'm happier to be stroked all over at the moment and I'm marching about the field with a nice level stride. apparently this is good.

Today I was meant to be going into the vets to get ready for the re-scope thing but TW wasn't sure whether it was a good idea. She debated for ages and googled and ruminated. And decided to leave it a while and just wean me off the drugs. I didn't mind. I bet it means I get some more herby supplements though. In fact TW has arranged for me to have my own shed to put all my lotions and potions in. Fabulous!!

Another nice day was spent snoozing in the barn. Jez lies down and goes to sleep as soon as she's had her grub but I like to chill a bit first. It was cold when TW came back, she fed us and put my rug on cos it was getting wet too. Me and Jez were hoping for another little ride today but TW had to go off to buy Mr Boblet a new towing machine for my new trailer. We've all decided on some group goals too....

I'm getting fit and doing 20 miles by autumn
Jez is hunting this year
TW is finally going to get to her goal weight by October
Brack is going to start on some gut supplements and see if he can find an occasional light weight rider........

Let's see how we get on!

a good sign?

I was lying snoozing in the field with TW arrived early doors today. Jez was stood snoozing with me. Brack was not where he should be. That made TW laugh. A bit. She turned the fence off and gave me my meds and a few nuts and then tired to get him back. It was hard work. I kept trying to join him but in the end she sorted it and we all had a race down the field together. TW won. I was feeling better and that made her smile.

We did some nibbling in the bit of barn field and then went to the barn for brekky and a snooze. TW thinks its funny we still love coming in. I dont know why its so surprising its lovely in there.

She came back earlier today and we went out and back into the shelter field where Mr Boblet and the dogs were playing. We had some visitors and Bracky got to have a play. He was not that impressed. I thought it was very funny. When they went TW sent Boblet and the dogs away and said we could have a quick mooch.

Tack came and out and she realised my girth was at home as I need a smaller one. So she said she would try my fave leather one even though its loads smaller and everyone says im chunking up at the moment. and guess what? My lovely leather girth fitted me! HA!! we had a little pootle about as \TW says little and often is the way forward now. Then Jez had a go. She did NOT need a smaller girth.

grub, splat, poison

Today was another early visit from TW but no early riding.  She needs to luck her ideas up. I had my drugs and a handful of hay nuts and then we all tootled into the barn field. TW was surprised that we had only eaten half a bale of hay overnight cos she thinks it looks like theres not much grass. There is a new mare near Rusty for a few days, she jumped up when she saw us but we ignored her. And waited for TW.

The barn got ready and TW gave a shout and we all ran in. Hay cobs and mint and equishure and yeasty supplements. Nom. I gobbled it all up. TW was pleased and I let her give me a nice brush. we do enjoy the days inside. Its nice and cool and comfy in the barn.

TW left us to it and then went to poo pick. She found some wormy bits in the poo which she guessed was mine. Yuck. Then she headed home.

Anyhoo, she arrived back about 4pm and let us all out and fed us. She has also started putting some licorice root in a bowl, I ate some yesterday but bracky ate it today. Then she decided we could have a pootle. Tack on , on she got and I marched up the track. She was so pleased, we even managed to unhook the gate but couldn't quite get it open so she jumped off.

There;s a lot of grass in the field. I wanted to eat it. I stood near the wall though to let her get back on but she was a bit nervous in case I moved off. I didn't move off. But she launched herself so hard she flew right over my back and landed on the floor. Splat! What a twat! I'm glad she wears that body protector. Second time lucky and we headed off.

In the field I was a bit sticky. stopping and wiggling a bit. And trying to eat grass. We got up the two fields but I didn't feel as good as I had on the track and did a wierd stampy thing which worried TW. At the top she got off and we walked back together. She thinks maybe the wormer is making me a bit sore. Back on the track I ate a load of oak leaves, That worried her some more. But then I scoffed hawthorn and cleaver and she preferred that. She has my muscles seem lovely and soft but my tummy is still not quite right. Plus she thinks I'm walking a bit wierd on my front feet. I'm not sure if I am though. But I know she went home and bought some more supplements and feed.

cider, worms and sunshine

It's been a quiet sort of few days but some stuff has happened. Wierd hey!

TW had noticed that I was getting dull looking and I'm not quite so happy to be touched after I've been outside on grass all night. So there have been changes. The copra has gone and the hay cobs are back. The gate to the barn field is shut at night now so we are just on half of the shelter field which is not very grassy at all. And we are staying in the barn for longer during the day.

I've also started on some new supplement which trimmer deb recommends - it's yeasty stuff for poorly tummies. It absolutely stinks. Like really cheap cider.

After 3 days on the cobs and two days on the stinky stuff TW said i was looking healthier and shinier and very occasionally she thinks I might be moving better in the field. On Friday she did the worm thing in the barn before turn out. It was the most disgusting wormer i think I have ever tasted (equest) and although I tried to be a good boy alot ended up on the floor i reckon. Jez was not a good girl and ate even less than me. Brack - well TW gave up in the end. Poo counts will be interesting !

On Saturday Mr Boblet said he thought I was looking good in the field when TW asked him ( he does not give compliments unsolicited lol). I followed TW to the gate and asked her for a kiss too. I hope that this new routine works.

Wierd

Today TW had a plan to get me feeling better. She came up nice and early and I ran over for my meds cos I want to get better too. She put extra hay in the barn and we had hay nuts for brekky not copra. Then TW rushed off leaving us chilling with our extra hay.

I'm not sure what happened next but somehow the partition in the barn came undone and Jez got in with me. And the main gate was undone to so when I grumped at jez for getting in my barn bit she got out. And couldnt get back in. She spent the whole day wandering in and out of the barn while me and Bee stressed and shouted and ate some hay. We were very upset. TW was super upset when she found out at tea time and came rushing up to check us over instead of having her dinner break. She prodded my tummy and checked Jez over and gave us some more tea cos Jez had eaten the three bowls TW had left for us earlier. Not a good day. Not a happy TW. Not a good day for ulcer healing.

Visitors and busy walks

TW was up early this morning. I heard her silent scream before she was out of the car. We'd broken the fence at the end of the field and were nomming fresh grass at 90mph. It didn't last long though - she chucked my meds down my throat and booted us down the field and fixed the fence. Like grease lightening. Bad bastard.

Anyhoo, she sorted the barn and picked some poo and said I was a teeny weeny bit more sensitive than usual. And fed us grub. She screamed some more when i booted the grub all over again - oh sorry am I not actually eating my equishure? didn't you realise? Dip shit!

We all had a doze then had a gallop into the barn and dozed some more. TW said I was having a visitor but I just went to sleep. Then a trailer arrived. With a cob on it!!! OMFG not another one? TW told me not to be daft and introduced me to a nice Lady Jane and Charlie-Bear. Very nice boy. Off we went for a walk up the trail. CB was a very good lad. I decided to pretend to be not so good and did a very good impression of being a very disobedient coblet, eating what I wanted and generally dragging TW about. She was mortified. I thought she was going to get cross so I gained the sympathy vote by biting her, planting a few times , saying my feet hurt and chewing my rope. Awesome - she thought I was poorly and I got to take it easy.

At the Black rocks we had lots of strokes from some kids and TW was very proud. The cafe was shut so they couldnt get cake. Oops! On the way back we passed biked and brollies and I ate some more. It wasn't half bad. I'm looking forward to doing it again soon.

I think my sympathy vote has back fired though....we stayed in til 5pm today until farmer ted turned us out , we were all lying down asleep when he got there. brack thinks TW might go on an anti-grass protest soon. Gah!

competition

I was grazing with Jez when TW arrived today. She was good and early again - not bad on her sort of day off. we pottered down and I had my meds. One week of the first course to go! Brack wanted grub but TW went to sort the barn and bought hay back. So me and Bee got nomming and I deliberately ignored TW when she wanted to go for a hack. That was a big mistake.

Jez went out and got tacked up. I ignored her and carried on eating. They were just going for a pootle on the track TW said. Jez said " we could go up the trail if you like?". WTF? I couldn't believe it! TW agreed and off they went. I shouted and shouted and they both ignored me. This stress will not do my ulcers any good!!

Anyhoo TW and Jez went out for nearly 2 hours. They rode a bit, walked a bit and chatted a bit. Jez trusts TW more now which is nice. They had a good game when TW needed to get back on on the trail and clambered on a grassy wall. Jez climbed up too. TW got off and Jez got off. TW gave up after 3 attempts and found somewhere else to get on. She thought it was hilarious! Jez says she didn't see what the problem was. Funny girl. TW was so pleased with Jez and Jez was pleased too.

As they were coming back down through the sheep fields me and Bee started shouting. They ignored us. Jez was doing gates and all sorts. FFS! Then we all went into the barn and I mostly sulked all afternoon. When TW came back she turned us out and fed us. And decided she had time for a quick ride on me. So i led her a merry dance around the field for a bit as I didnt appreciate her rushing my grub. We had a teeny stroll about and a wincey trot and then it was rug on and out for the night. Apparently I met get a visitor tomorrow. If I'm not still sulking.

Dull

TW was meant to be spending time with us today but she decided she had to write a wanky report instead. Super rude! She also decided that instead of cuddling us she would rescue Snow Po who had escaped into the wrong field. Pah! Bad priorities. She did however manage to organise a saddle fitting appointment and do some online mooching for pressies for me.

Today we had some time in the barn which was nice and mostly chilled in the field. There was nothing much else to report.

catching up

Sorry I've not been around for a few days. The weather had been rainy again and I had to leave my laptop in the barn to stop it getting wet. But TW decided we would mostly be outside this weekend cos she's been a bit busy so my blogging was blocked!

Anyhoo, Friday we did chill in the barn for a bit and then did a lovely therapy session when the sun came out. So that was nice. The meds were still going down well and we got some more equishure and started again on the copra stuff. Nom. Muesli and coconut - very nice!

Saturday was lesson time. teacher Ruth came and fiddled with my saddle and fitted my snazzy bridle cos TW is useless. Then we had a nice lesson. TW tried very hard and I was very pleased with her. Teacher Ruth thought it was funny. The Jez had a go too. Jez is all squirty again and you can imagine what her and Bee are getting up to. I'm trying to stay out of it!

We stayed out all day Saturday and TW came up late Sunday (10.30!!) as she had been away with Mr Boblet. She looked very tired and said they had stayed in a hotel barn with noisy nob heads who were shouting all night. I was a wee bit tummy sensitive for about 5 minutes but mostly ok today which was good. We all wanted to go into the barn as it was so hot but we had little visitors at dinner time. Boblet's grandkids came to visit and gave me and jez a brush, chatted to Bee and made some hay nets and rode in wheelbarrows. They even had a tiny sit on Jez cos apparently I'm "too big". maybe next time though?

Tomorrow is Monday again - I'm hoping for some mojo returning and getting out and about.

Thursday, 19 May 2016

waiting for the mojo

Bracky pants is a wierdo. He shouted when TW arrived today and trotted part way down the field. He was on the not so grass strip. Strangely enough me and the Belle were on the long grass. That's not looking quite so long now. We came out for a tube of meds and a treat each though. Jez wanted some drugs too - that made TW worry and made me chuckle.

Anyhoo she shut the gate on the long grass, took off my rug and checked my tummy. After 24 hours on long fresh grass it was mostly fine - no grumps or biting but a bit of holding on to my rug. And a few cow pat poos. TW thinks the equishure is doing a good job. We stood and stared at TW and then realised we could still get into the bottom bit of the barn field. So we pootled down and stood and had a nosey and waited for hotel barn to open.

When the barn opened we all rushed in and nommed our muesli down. I was glad to get off the grass to help my tummy and Brack was glad cos the grass was making him itchy. Jez was glad cos she got to have a nice brush from TW and we had out tails trimmed. Then we slept.

Farmer Ted let us out at 5pm , TW had left us some feed in the field so that was good and we had loads of hay nets too. She left my rug off though which was a pain cos the rain kept appearing. I hope her mojo comes back soon...at the moment she's still limping about worse than I was with my abscess. She went home to charge my garmin up though so that's a good sign I think......

The change of plans

I was meant to go for a hack today. TW came up early and I had my meds and went into the big grass field. My rug stayed on as it was chucking it down. It wasn't much cop for a hack really so we all decided that we could stay on the long grass ALL DAY. TW tried to tempt us off with feed and treats but we ignored her and eventually she gave up and just fixed the leccy fencing. She's done a wierd set up which means we have to walk about quite a bit. Unless we just stand still and stuff our faces. TW is worried about how we will be tomorrow. happy and full i reckon.

Tuesday, 17 May 2016

negotiation

TW was an early birdy today again but she was a bit distracted as chicky moona was a poorly lurcher girl and she had to keep one eye on her at all times. This meant I did not receive as much scrutiny as usual before breakfast. which was fine by me as I felt good. Rug off, meds down and into the grassy bit for munchies. Lovely. Then she sorted the barn and got our brekky ready (two scoops of equishure and some muesli still) and we all raced into the barn cos Bracky said so!

And we chilled in the barn all day and occasionally spied on the neighbours.

Anyhoo, it was nice to get back out again mid afternoon and had another go on the long grass before it was back on the strip for tea. I could not be arsed with my grub this evening as i wanted the grass instead. I contemplated jumping the wall but decided against it. TW wanted to give me some scratches but I walked off and scratched with Brack instead. She said I was mean and laughed so I pointed out that she was mean for not letting us stay on the long grass. She agreed. I then suggested I probably needed a new thermatex rug if we are going to be going out more. She agreed with that too. As she was leaving I asked her is she wanted a kiss. I haven't done that for about 3 years. TW was pleased.

Resting

TW limped up early today, I was pleased to see her and have her a nice whinny, had my meds and then got let into the longer grass with my dudes. No grumps, no nipping, no bother.

Bracky said TW was super stiff from her fall and that we needed to help her. So when she came to shout us for our brekky in the barn we ignored her. She walked up the field and caught me, walked me down the field and into the barn - she was so pleased with how relaxed I was. But not so happy that Jez and Bee didn't follow me in. She then walked all the way up the field and thankfully Bracky let her catch him and walk down to the barn. Jez felt bad for TW and followed him in. Hehehe poor limpy thing!

We chilled all day in the barn, nomming and snoozing. At 4pm we got back out in the long grass and then went back into the shelter field for tea and did a therapy session which was interesting. I had my rug back on too cos TW thought it was getting chilly.

Feed, falls and fabulous marking

Today is Sunday, the day of rest. TW arrived at the yard about 6am and I was lying down having a lovely snooze. That worried her, especially as I took absolutely ages to get up. However I wasn't nippy or grumpy or overly bothered about being touched when we finally met in the field. I took my drugs and had the now regular gacky medicine moustache going on.

We had our brekky and then me and Jez lined up at the gate to be let though onto the long grass. It didn't happen. Instead TW bought us more hay and said we were going out. She got all my stuff ready, water, feed, haynet, tack and then gave me another feed this time with equishure in it. 2 feeds in an hour. Bargain. as a reward I let her groom me all over with no grumps and pick out my feet and put on my fly spray. Perfect boy. The others were not impressed that I was off out!!

After some grazing down the track my bus appeared. A nice big red bus. I was very impressed, got straight on and then chilled for an hour while we drove to Thoresby. at the other end I chilled some more, nibbled some grass and even had another tiny muesli feed. TW says empty tummies are not good for ulcer boys. I could get use to this!

Tack on, TW on and off we bimbled through the car park. I could hear a noise that made me wary and as we turned the corner I had a wee spook at a man, the saddle slipped so I ran for my life. TW hit the deck right on some nice stones. So i ran a bit further onto the nice soft grass for a graze. TW was hurt. She felt like a big eejit as lots of peeps came to help her so she laughed a bit and pretended she was ok and linked back to the horsebox so the transport man could have a good giggle at her. She changed my girth, got back on and then he did it up even tighter and off we went again. This time we were more cautious. TW was nervous but we saw an old friend on a new horse with another horse and we did the first 5 minutes together and then TW let them trot off. I was a bit bothered. But not much.

Off we pootled following blue arrows and occasionally getting a bit shouty and joggy when a few horses past us. TW was getting tense but she eventually figured out the answer. Treats! So every so often I got a nice minty treat and we pootled along on a nice buckle length rein. I love Thoresby.

We followed blue arrows and then orange arrows. That stressed me out a bit cos I thought we were going wrong. Then we did red arrows in reverse. TW was unsure. This made me unsure. So I kept stopping a bit and pooing. This worried TW even more. But soon we got back on the orange and then blue arrows and we knew were correct so we pottered on.

as we started heading back I sped up a bit and did a few shouts. Right near the end I saw my old friends Raf and Tess and then the Lucy's passed us too! It was really nice to be back seeing nice people again. Before we knew it were were back at the car park and TW got off and made me muesli soup. Lush. Four feeds before lunch time! Then it was back home, TW let me take myself to the field cos she was limping so much so I kindly went and hid! Hahahah!

Anyhoo, back in the field there was still no grumpiness and I was still happy to be brushed all over. TW was super relieved. When she came back at tea time i did a nice whinny to her and guess what - she fed me again with my last lot of equishure! after 24 hours of not being stabled I was still chilled and enjoying the attention. Loving being back out!

on the tenth day of treatment....

On the tenth day of treatment TW gave to me....some thunderbrook muesli!

For a Saturday morning TW was up early. There was no red lipstick apparent so I'm guessing she had an evening in but she was still looking tired. Bracky says she needs to cut all grass and sugar out of her diet and that will help.

Anyhoo, she came up ad gave me drugs. Tried to take my rug off but I refused which confused her but then I relented and she let us all through onto the longer grass for job time. Olives's mum said this was a bad idea as there was no way we would go in the barn after sniffing the pony crack....

At first I didn't want to be touched but I didn't nip today or grab TW's clothes. She poo picked, hayed the barn, mucked out and put another bale of hay in the field nets as we had eaten quite a lot last night. Nom Nom. Then she started the brekky prep.

Bracky loves his feed at the moment and he always has one ear and one eye on TW nowadays. he spotted her emptying a bag of feed into the bin and started sidling down to the middle gate. Just in case. I noticed Jez following him a bit but tbh my pony crack was soooooo distracting! TW tried the walking through the field tactic today. It worked. As soon as she was in the field with three buckets of feed Brack was on her. I could not have that. The four of us danced our way down to the barn, TW all elbows and feed bowls and us three all teeth and bargy barginess. TW won. I was impressed. In the barn I tried to avoid the equishure feed but she swapped em round and we all settled down to nom nom our muesli, cobs and a smattering of copra and charcoal. It was so good that we were all hypnotically licking the bowl when TW left.

At 3.30pm she returned, full of McDonalds food and tired from playing with the chiddlers. Bracky says TW is gonna get lammi if she's not careful and he swears he can see her getting cresty already. Out we went into the field, nommed some long grass and then all decided that TW was right and that grub and hay on the strip was much better. She was so impressed! She said I looked lush all shiny and healthy and relaxed again.

After tea i strutted myself up the strip staring and glaring at Mr Boblet as I went. He thought I wanted a stroke. I did not. I was just showing him that there is only one man for TW and it is not him. he called me a barsteward. I did not care. Cos I am the best. Ha!

Day 9 the grass dilemma

Bracky got to TW first this morning - never a good sign. I nipped her as soon as I got close. I wouldnt let her rub my tummy. She got sad and then frustrated so I nommed down my drugs and stomped off biting the others as I went. We got let through into the longer grass by Rusty for half an hour.  Tw tatted about with supplements and made the barn nice and wondered and wondered why I was feeling poo again. She even wondered if I would ever get better. That made her sad. eejit.

Eventually she realised what the problem was. Yesterday we only stayed in the barn til dinner time cos she was busy working later on. Bleddy grass. I love the grass. jez loves the grass. brack loves the grass. But the grass is mean to us. It makes my tummy hurt, it makes Brack itch and quite frankly it does nowt for Jezs waistline. Stupid wanky green stuff!!

Anyhoo, she made our grub and put extra equishure in mine. And shouted and shouted and shouted. We ignored her so in the end she had to bring me in with my head-collar. The first time in a long time. It made her stressed cos she knew the battle was going to be on. Fortunately Bee and Jez are so nosy and brought themselves in soon after me. They did not get equishure lol. TW weight taped me and Jez but that is not to be discussed!

We nommed and snoozed all day and had a good natter about random shizzle. When TW came back we got a tiny bit on the longer grass then she tempted us through into the shelter field with some grub. We all had equishure this time. We have very little grass so she gave us extra haynets. This evening i was much happier and relaxed and didnt mind my tummy being stroked. I still gave jez a kicking though. Ha! TW put my rug on before she left cos she says the weather might get crappy again.

As she left we all debated whether she is a good worrier or bad worrier for being a grass meany....we still haven't decided.

Hot day, sore guts

I was lying down when TW arrived at the field. Brack and Jez were stood snoozing together. TW panicked when she saw I was on the floor. She wanted to rush over but she had the dawgs with her so it took a bit of time to dodge the staffiosa. I was mostly fine, just a bit snooozy and I was glad when she took my coat off though.

Today I didn't want all of my drugs so I left the wee bit at the end. teacher Ruth says I can save a bit each day and then every few days we have a spare syringe. Bargain. But TW doesn't really get it so I just have a new one every day. Nobhead. My hind gut is a bit sore today, I stood with my right hind leg forward for a bit but I wasn't bitey or grumpy. I was glad to go in the barn though for a snooze.

I've started back on equishure today. We all did cos TW isn't sure we can be trusted to not share feeds. She dis want me to have some charcoal too but then she read it can't be taken when I'm on meds and can cause blocked guts. I think I would like a polo mint supplement instead.

grumpy detox

It rained all night. Wierd weather. So we ignored the hay and ate the fresh strip of grass we were allowed. As soon as she arrived TW knew it wasn't good. I had my meds nicely and then made lots of attempts to grab stuff. Tw was so confused she gave us brekky when she didn't mean to. Oops!

After her jobs she came and caught me and we set off for a walk. I was grumpy. She was tired. We had planned to go for a hack with the yard peeps but we rescheduled cos TW was awake too early. It was for the best. We did Eric's Block and all I wanted to do was eat detox dandelions. And stay away from the newbies in the field who were very keen on saying hello. I was not in the mood.

all the way round the walk there were loads of fields full of grass. I kept asking TW if we could have one but she said nope. Meany. I got more and more tired and in the end I gave her a huge bite on the arm. I thought she'd get mad and know how grumpy I felt. Bit it only bleddy made her cry! FFS! So i did what Mr Boblet does when she gets like that and ignored her and pretended I wasn't there until she felt less sad. it worked a treat! TW said I had to stretch my legs to help sort my muscle detox out. But it bleddy hurt.

After my walk she had a play with Jez and then we went for snoozes in the barn. When she came back at 6pm I felt much better. I got to put a coat on as bowen lucy had text TW and said the cold rain made me ache. Then we pottered out to the field and got some brekky. Nom! I hope my tummy feels better tomorrow.

Bleating, Bananas and Bowen

TW appeared early doors again. Brack and Jez were impressed and went scuttling over to see her. Me not so much. I hid. Right at the far corner of the field where she had no chance of seeing me. If she could have shit herself I think she would have. Heheheh it was very funny! But then I realised that I might miss out on brekky so came charging down the field. There was no brekky. Touche madame worrier!

To prove I was actually a good boy today I had my drugs loose in the field. She was very impressed. Then we got the brekky. Nom. And off she tootled to do a few jobs. We needed more hay cos we had finished all the nets in the night.

The forecast for the day was shite, Olive's mum had already said she was going to stay in bed drinking gin or something...her and TW chat all the time on the stoopid facebook crap. I'm going to see Olive in the summer though so that's good! TW decided she was feeling brave so she got my tack and we got ready to go. Just for a wee one. I was happy to be touched all over again today and I stood steady as a rock while she got on and didn't even look at her feet at all. That made her happy.

We tootled up the track and then off she popped and we went into the field. Now the sheep field is a pain. The sheep are wankers (says Brack not me) and it's dry stone wall so tricky for fatty worrier to get on easily, she gets her feet all tangled. So being the good boy that I am I stood steady again while she catapaulted at me, landed in the correct place and off we pottered some more. We went up the field, through the sheep up the next field and back down and then did some nice wiggly, circle bits. My straight stops are getting much better. But TW said I was a bit of a banana today. That made her a bit sad. Until she rode Jez too and Jez did the same thing and she realised she's just a crap rider! Pah!! Bracken said that too not me!

Anyhoo, after the riding we did some grazing and then she played with Jez and we went in the barn for a chill. That was lush. We were all just sleeping when bowen Lucy appeared and did some real good treatments. Bowen seems to be good for my tummy. I was soooooo relaxed. Bowen Lucy said I was much better but that might muscles are still full of toxins so I need to do lots of steady walking and rest when I get tired. Sounds good to me. Then the other two had a go, Bee had to have some help for all the aching bones he has from all the shenanigans. Dirty old man! Hehehe.

TW left us alone for a few hours to snooze, we were all so chilled it was great. Bee says that bowen stuff is as good as smoking weed. Feck knows how he knows that though! After that we went out into the rain for our tea and set about grazing. Not a bad day again!

Upside down day 5 and a rest

We stayed out alllll night last night. It was most enjoyable. TW came up bright and early still and we came tearing down the field to see her. But she said it wasn't the time for breakfast. So i refused to let her catch me and she had to ride Jez instead. That sort of back-fired when they had a lovely time, even when I tried to ruin it by shouting, galloping up and down the hedge and shouting some more. Jezey bleddy ignored me! WTF? And TW just told me to feck off.

Anyhoo, breakfast was served in the barn. me and Bee came charging in as usual while madam took her time as she said the mud at the door was scary. I got a gob full of grub before TW could get my drugs in my mouth which resulted in me spitting various bits out. Not sure if TW was more worried about me missing out on precious meds or the cost of the potential wasted potion!! It's a bit dear methinks!

We had a nice day chilling in the barn and nibbling hay. TW popped back around 4.30 and was pleased that I was still looking shiny and happy to have y tummy rubbed all over. Tomorrow I think I have a Lucy bowen visit.

Hack attack

Today was an interesting day. I took my meds like a good boy and then off we all went out into the field for brekky. It was bleddy scorching at 7.30am. Far too hot for the Bee who wanted to hide in the shelter. There was some nice grass to be nommed which is always a bonus!

TW pottered about and then came to catch me. No bother! I had a nice groom and chilled in the sunshine and TW was impressed that I let her groom me all over and did no nipping or grumpy stuff. The Dave man from the yard came along to see us and I tried to ignore him for a bit as I was trying to be a good lad but eventually I gave him some attention. He's not a bad sort but I'm trying really hard to be a one human horse at the moment (well at least when TW is watching).

Anyhoo, then I got my tack on and TW hauled her fat ass onto my back. I stood rock solid. She was so pleased. Then we pootled down to the main yard. I was a bit unsure tbh but we made it down alive. Waiting for us was Twi the racehorse. She makes me chuckle, she's a different kind of girl to Jez i reckon. Jez likes wrestling and squirting and eating (probably like TW says brack but that's a bit rude!) while Twi is a more glamouress lady with a nice line in face pulling and tail swishing. Ha! Girls!!

We set off through the fields and Mr Dave kindly did the big gates, then onto the trail. It's lush on the trail. I even managed to open a few gates myself! TW was so proud!! We did a new hack today down to the canal and then along the river. I really wanted to trot. and really wanted to bite twi's bum to annoy her. TW wouldn't let me do either. Meany!! It's right steep round by us now we are in Derbyshire which apparently is good for me. Hmmm. TW practised teacher Ruth's stuff again today - love the elbows in rule cos I get to have the longest reins ever! Hehehehe. I managed some straight stops though :D We did 90 minutes with absolutely no problem at all although I did have a few sticky moments at the start until I managed to poo.

Back at the yard I had a visit from lovely trimmer Debs who did mine and Jezs tootsies. I was a very good bot. we even got to stay out tonight - TW says we will come in for a few hours in the day from now on to help our tummies and feet.

Day 3 saddle up

TW didnt manage to get to us for 6am...apparently teacher ruth lady had told her that she might have a few hours window to get the drugs into me. So cos she had a few beers last night she arrived just before 9am. With most of her red lippy removed. She's such a freak! I much prefer my copra lipstick.

Anyhoo, she decided to try and give my meds sans headcollar again so I dodged around the barn. Then she said "it's to make your tummy better", so i nommed it down and went out into the field. The others followed. Lovely sunny day! We ate brekky and got grazing while TW pottered about.

Mr Boblet arrived later with the dawgs. I'm not sure about being married and stuff it's wierd. TW has been married before and is now married to Mr Boblet. Jezey said TW must have squirted lots or something. Bleddy girls. Jezey squirts all the time, Bracky quite likes it. It's mostly annoying to me. jezey likes getting her own way. mr Boblet says TW likes getting her own way. He's daft ...she never gets her own way with us.

Today we tried a bit of riding. I wasn't convinced at first as the grass on the new strip was so lovely but TW asked super nice and I thought I'd give it a go. No biting or wind sucking shizzle today. Tack on no bother and TW said I looked so handsome and shiny. We just did 3 times up and down the track and even managed two wee trots. TW was so chuffed. She was practicing the things teacher ruth had taught her and she actually did ok.

after we had done I went back in the field and then later she came back and we all trotted into the barn for tea and a sleep. very nice day.

Day 2 of drugs

TW came up nice and early. My drugs have to be given every 24 hours. Precisely. We are taking bets on how she fares over the weekend with a 6am drug run. Today she thought she would give me the medicine without using a headcollar. And just managed it. I get a feeling she might not be so successful tomorrow....

Anyhoo, it was another sunny one and we got ourselves out with a little help from TW and did some grazing and had brekky (copra, hay nuts) which was nice. I didn't do tail swishing or biting or owt. She was very impressed. Then we marched off to the field near Rusty boy and set about grazing. Nice!

Mid-afternoon she reappeared and we were all stood in the dirty bit nibbling hay and relaxing. Jez wanted a cuddle so I got in the way and had one instead. Then TW went for a lie down in the other field and we all ignored her. She was right miffed! mardy arse. Eventually we stamped through and I stamped over to her. She laughed and told me there was an imaginary bubble protecting her. What a load of shite there was not! I grabbed her coat and chucked it about it. Eventually she stood up. I did some stretching and then OOPS! I stood on her foot as I went to have a good stretch and scratch. Fecking useless bubble you have there hey?

After i returned from my telling off when the bubble miraculously  shoved me across the field to scratch on my own I did some more grabbing and chewing on her coat. Brack was most impressed and predicted I might get some new gut supplements soon. TW offered me a walk but tbh I wasn't convinced and the fecker only went out and sat on Jez instead and pootled up the path. I shouted and shouted and shook a hay net but they BOTH bleddy ignored me. Gutted!

TW thinks the grass has made my tummy sore today. On the plus side I think she is buying me a trailer thing and I know she has booked some rides too. We like optimism!! Finally we all had a lovely therapy session with one of her nice clients and helped him do some excellent learning. Then it was tea and bed. very productive.

So I have ulcers

On Tuesday night I stopped over night in a hospital. It was pretty shite. All on my own with no food just a few wood chips to nibble from the floor. Then yesterday I had a tube stuffed up my nose and into my tummy. That was pretty shite too. It made my nose bleed so I snorted it everywhere and it looked like we were in a horror film. Ha!! They found some of the things that make my tummy sore though. So that's a relief! I have grade 2 and 3 ulcers. The nice vet says I could have a biopsy too or a scan as maybe the other end of my guts aren't working so well either. TW said nah to that. Which is fine. I'm glad they're going to make me better.

This morning I had my first dose of meds. It's a syringe thing. Didn't taste so bad. TW laughed cos she said I look the best I have done in ages, I am shiny and relaxed and didn't do any biting today. I have to have the medicine for 28 days and then go back and get my tummy re-looked at. Not quite so sure about that. TW is worrying cos she thinks the medicine might make my hind gut sore so no doubt I will have some new foods to try.

The good thing is I can still go hacking and stuff if TW ever has time to do owt.

Today I have grass and hay to eat and had some copra and hay nuts. No supplements.
