PT came all ready to tame ponies this morning, 6am on a Sunday morning. WTF? Half a tube of meds down my neck and she said we couldn't go into the barn field as we had some work to do. I got my rope halter on and we practised backing up and coming forward. I did a very nice job. Then we practised a few turn on the forehand things with a poke in the hip with a sparkly stick. Yuck. I hated it :( She said it would be good for me though and that we can't just stick to things that are easy. Afterwards we practised walking side by side and stopping together. I did a nice trot over the sleeper too which was impressive.
Jez had a go next and she was keen to be a good girl. She needs to be told a bit louder to go back but can do the turning round better than me. Bee refused to play at all. PT was not surprised and told him he won't get any more treats unless he makes a small effort. mean!!
When it was barn time I did a perfect collected canter down to the barn and went straight in for grub. Nom.
We had a good day chilling and the weather was so hot. We were grateful to be in the barn. When PT arrived back I was not happy. She was stressed as Mr Boblet's new car had broken and her back was sore and she had to get home to work. She thought my tummy looked odd but couldn't work out why, I was all gassed up and very grumpy. I tried to nip her and she said that was bad and made me practice stopping and walking with her out of the barn
After tea she tried to give me a stroke but I wasn't massively happy about it. She said we could do some belly lifts but i swished my tail and stomped off. So we did some ear rubs instead. Jez is PT's best chum at the moment I'm not sure why. PT is going to start some yoga classes to see if that helps her core strength and her busy head cos she hopes that will help me. Brack and Boblet say yoga is bullshit and Boblet is going to take her climbing instead as he says thats the best thing for focusing your brain. I did say to Bee that I think she is scared of heights but apparently that's just a technicality.
