shedding blade

It was a cold and foggy morning when we had hay-fast today. TW got the shedding blade out and got to work. I was not interested. Soon there was hair flying everywhere. Mingling with my hay. Yuck. Everyone had a good go apart from me and Misty. Her lameness has gone cos her abscess has popped. Excellent news.

Anyhoo, TW filled the water and then Dill started to scratch her legs on the gate like she does. The new gate. She scratched and scratched and then realised her leg was stuck and started to panic. She looked round at TW and pulled and pulled and TW panicked too and ran forward spraying herself with water. Just as Dill pulled again and opened the gate and then got her leg free! So we all ran through the gate into the top bit. TW was not impressed and immediately got freezing cold. Oops. Then she went and sat in the car and blasted herself with the heater and chatted to the communicator lady who told her I was doing a lot better while I mooched around with Bracken and grazed.

Later on in the evening TW came back with the dawgs and they had a run about while TW offered us a sniff of lavender. Jez loved it and had some licks of it too. Nom. Then TW tried to do some nice reiki healing for us all but Lyra went and demanded scratches instead. I'm sure she thinks shes a dawg too!

quiet

TW looked like a bag of spanners when she came up first thing. She chucked some hay around and gave us all a quick scratch. Then she gave Misty a poke and noticed she has a bit of heat in her hind hooflet and thinks she's probably got an abscess brewing. Then she snotted off. I didn't get my lesson today cos of her dirty germs.

She came back quite late with Boblet and the dawgs. She says thats the good thing about the clocks changing. Anyhoo we didn't get extra hay but frankly we weren't bothered. She came and checked us all out again and lifted Misty's tootsies and Lyra's too, Lyra then went cantering about to show she had been a good girl. Mikka and TW had a little chat about galloping through fields together and TW checked everyones tootsies for heat. Mine were the coolest. She wants Boblet to make us a coral thing soon so we can stay off the grass if we need too. Could be interesting.

snot

Tw was even more germy today than she was yesterday. What a pita. She was no fun at all today. She came up early with Boblet and the dawgs and fed us the hay. Nom. My tummy seems good at the moment. Misty ate loads of mycosorb and we all ignored the bucket of salt.

They came back in the afternoon without the dawgs and the sun was still shining and TW was still one big lacklustre germ. She sat in the field for a bit and then sat in the trees and her and Lyra listed to some shamanic drumming songs. Lyra likes music. Misty has a wee sore leg today and was grumpy when TW's pals came to visit. Boblet said he was going to do some rapping for us but he never did. Such a disappointment.

sunshine

Sorry I didn't blog last night. We were busy celebrating in the field cos TW has finally bought it for us. No more moving. She visited us twice yesterday and played us some tunes and we all chilled in the sunshine. We are down to one bale of hay a day as a regular thing now. She says she wants us to get working and rummage round the field and find some good grub. We still like loitering at the top though just in case any more hay appears.....

Anyhoo, today was a lovely sunny day. Boblet admitted to TW last night that when its went and windy he worries about us. Hahahah TW thought that was hilarious. We know he loves us loads really. We thought there might be some riding today but instead they did some good jobs. Boblet fixed the stable roof, they measured some stuff for fencing and then got the quad and trailer out. So we all stood around the gate and made him drive though us. Hahahah!

Tw got a bit cross when when they were sorting the field out. Boblet dug out a pile of nettled and they found it was full of wire and broken glass. Just gross. They're making plans for how they can make the field perfect for us. I think we just need grass mostly.

I had a nice brush in the sunshine and TW rubbed some neem on me. Love it. Everyone else thought it stinks and ran off from it. Mikka had a nice brush too though. We had some mycosorb and equishure in a feed buckets today. I wasn't really fussed. Misty are the mycosorb and had a lick of the equishure. Dilly had a go cos she's a gannet but she wasn't keen. Boblet noticed that Dilly has knocked his walls down again. And when she thought no-one was looking she went and blocked the footpath so a couple of walkers couldnt get passed her. TW says Dilly is a bugger.

1 or 2

Yesterday was a scandal. We only had one bale of hay all day and it was bleddy freezing. TW felt very guilty when she finished work and her car was all frozen up. Very bad feeding! Mikka had a chat with a communicator lady. She told her about her sticky leg and achy hips and said she'd quite like to live like the donks. She made the communicator lady laugh a lot. She also made some comment about me not really being her boss.....Not sure about that!

Today she came up with the dawgs and she was still super germy. We got two bales of hay today though which was better. The dawgs ran around and got mucky and we just nommed and got a quick check over. Tomorrow might be a special day says TW, we've all got our hooves crossed.

work

This morning it was so sunny and bright. And blowing a gale and absolutely baltic. TW was frozen when she came up to give us the hay-fast and she could barely see cos her mane was blowing in her face. She sat on a rock for ages and watched us nom and then got primed for action.

She made a hay net and popped it at the top of the yard and said it was time to go. I walked off. She followed me. I bit Brack and walked off some more. She followed me some more. Eventually I gave up and we got through the gate and very slowly made our way to the stables. I had a big sniff of lavender oil and so did TW. I was very very scared but TW was patient until she tied me up and I repeatedly swung my bum into her. The wind is scary you're honour.

Anyhoo, she said we were going for a lesson so I did my best huff and puff nervous nelly impression. Surprisingly she mostly ignored me (although had a brief thought about cancelling), tried to brush me but gave up, tacked me up and off we strolled. Down the track I huffed and puffed and spooked and occassionally grazed, got me some nice clivers today. It was busy on the road and TW protected me nicely from the cars cos I was busy sniffing and stopping and staring.

We got to the lesson just on time and TW shouted to Jiggys mum who was busy in the barn. She walked me round in hand and then the nice teacher lady helped her get on. I started off with a nice spook at the sheep shed and the teacher lady led me round past them but TW said I didn't need that help today so off we went. Today we did circles and circles and circles. Bending right is not easy. The grumpy cob next to the school kept launching at me cos he thought I wanted his wee hay net which was a bit wierd. TW said so many nice things to me it was lush. I think I did a good job. She wasn't nervous today either. After half an hour I was shattered and TW said thank you we are done. So off she popped and we strolled nice and relaxed back home with some grazing breaks on the way.

Back at the field I nibbled the hay the others had left and TW told me how good I was again. Then she went and for some reason it started snowing.

In the evening the chiddlers arrived to look at lambs and then Boblet and the dawgs. I tried to nibble them all so they went and hid in the caravan as it was even colder. Eventually TW arrived and gave us our second bale. She said we had to be warm tonight as the weather was looking crap. Mikka refused to have her rug on though. TW was confused. Oh and did I tell you that TW says I have ribs! She was impressed. Think she wants ribs too.

two halves

Today was a day of two halves. The first half was wet and grotty , we had hay in nets and tried not to trample on the dawgs. The second half was sunny and dry and we had hay on the floor. TW put some mycosorb out too but I wasn't bothered, Misty ate it all up. Nom. My tummy was feeling fine today and all my hair is starting to come out. TW was feeling a bit sad today she said her day has been full of eejits. We were mostly too busy eating to pay much attention.

Sunday, 19 March 2017

new gate

TW was up uber early for a Sunday. She made the haynets but today she put then on the big shelter and the fence which was wierd. Then she fenced us off the top of the field and put an extra line of fencing up too, we didn't care though we were nomming in the super windy wind.

Off she went to do some yoga with the chiddlers. Next thing Boblet arrives all efficient like and set to work. We ignored him. He's insignificant when we have food. He worked hard though fitting a shiny new gate to keep us off the top bit. It looked good.

Anyhoo, a few hours later and TW reappeared and we had some scratches and chats and she took some photos. Then we did a nice family therapy session and charged about a bit causing trouble.

Saturday, 18 March 2017

drizzle

We didn't see much of TW yesterday but we still had plenty of hay so that was all good. Today we saw her 3 times (well she came to visit 3 times but on the second occassion me and Bee ignored her completely!).

Firstly, she came with Boblet and the dawgs for the usual hay-fast and water visit. All good, plenty of hay but the weather is not the best at the moment, drizzly mizzly and a wee bit windy. The drizzly rain sets my tummy off a bit so I got a crafty grab of her coat when she wasn't looking but as soon as I started on the hay I felt better.

Then they bogged off with their tired, hungover faces and went shopping for stuff. A bit later they came back with a shiny new gate and some posts. As i said, me and Brack stayed down in the field shelter eating our hay but the girls were mostly interested in saying hello again. Mikka asked for a rug on as she doesnt like the damp so TW lent her a red rug of Jez's as she said it was far too warm for a MW. Mikka was happy with that. TW got all muddy as she hasn't got her yard boots on which was a bit daft really. She noticed there were some sloppy poos about and knew they were mine which sort of made her worry a bit but not too much cos my tummy is mostly feeling fine.

In the afternoon TW reappeared, I reckon she had been for a nap. She went and sat in the woods and my and Lyra said hello while she just chilled out and practised her reiki stuff. We mooched about and grazed and listened to some music and then she pootled off again. Without giving us more hay. The girls were not impressed.

chilly

The temperature has dropped a bit again which isnt so nice and today the sun has been hiding. TW came up nice and early and gave us hay-fast and the dawgs had a run around. That Iggy was being an eejit today, pretending he was deaf. TW was trying hard not to have an early morning tantrum, especially as the neighbours were  watching but we could tell she wanted to boot him up the arse or bite his back like Bracky did.

Anyhoo, while we nommed, TW and the dawgs walked about the field and spotted all the nice growing stuff. All kinds of goodies are sprouting up. TW wondered whether she should cut out the hay now and make us forage more but I know she darent do that cos of my tummy. She was on poo watch round the field too and thought she could see poorly poos but tbh I think maybe the birds have just been scattering stuff about cos my tummy is certainly not hurting. I had a lick of mycosorb anyway to make her feel better, Misty ate loads and had a fight with Dilly over some. Wierd girls.

TW had early work today but she still decided to have a teeny pootle on Jez. The slippy saddle happened again and Jez was slightly less peeved when she again got a boot up the arse. TW was very apologetic again and Jez is mostly a forgiving sort. Today the aim was to walk down past the water and round Iggys blue tub and they did it relatively easily. I was impressed. Jez did a few turn round and attempt to get back to the hay but TW just made her do a teeny circle and keep walking. TW had been taught that when Jez turns right in a nappy way that she has to turn her left and not let her go the way she wants....she decided today though that was silly as Jez is super strong and that fighting with her isn't nice and it makes more sense to use her energy to keep her moving rather than fighting against her. Jez seemed to appreciate that. She did suggest that TW get off when they got back to the hay though and TW was happy to oblige.

The weekend was meant to be my time but it looks like the rain is coming again. Thats no good at all.

Not today thankyou

Its been another sunny one today which is great news, we weren't quite so hungry when TW arrived for hay-fast but we did some good nomming anyway. I'm a little bit suspicious that she's trying to reduce how much we get so I need to keep my eye on her I reckon.

My tummy is still good and we are all still chilled. TW is still snot-tastic. She decided that maybe a wee tiny sit on one of us would help so she changed it and tacked Jez up. No bother. But Jez wouldnt move from the hay pile so TW bought the mounting block to Jez. Unfortunately the saddle thing slipped a touch when she was getting on and she kicked Jez up the bum. Hahahahaha!! Jez just glared at her, I'd have decked her if that were me, I hate slippy saddles.

So they sat and Jez nommed and we all stayed nomming too rather than swapping about cos that could have got tricky. TW wanted Jez to have a pootle down to the water but quite frankly Jez wanted hay and not much else. They did it eventually and TW was pleased. I was shocked that she kept laughing at Jezs tanky spins. I stopped laughing when TW said she had time for a little pootle on me too and promptly bogged off. Oops!

learn and meditate with Jez

TW is a super germ at the moment. We were grazing near the shelter when she arrived this morning as 1) she was late (had to wait for her car to be ready she said) and 2) we were partitioned off by the water. To be fair we (Misty) had knocked down the wooden bar but hadn't broken the strand of electric tape stuff, I don't think the germ could take it today. She checked my tummy a few times and it was all good.

Anyhoo, she hayed us up and sat around for a bit. She was feeling a bit crappy as she had to cancel her hack cos of the snot issue, but chilling in the fresh air is always good. She had a good idea and took the mounting block to the water and hoped that someone might want to be ridden! I kept on nomming with my back to her.

Dildred hasn't been ridden for ages so TW thought she would chance it and popped on her rope halter. |So far so good so she nipped into the store to get the saddle, when she came back out she was chuffed to see Dilly stood waiting outside for her and saddled her up. Off they went to the mounting block and just sat for a while. Dilly said she couldnt really walk in the opposite direction from the hay so they discussed it for a while and then TW let Dilly walk her back to the hay pile. TW was very pleased.

I reckon TW was feeling a bit brave again so she tried to put the halter and Jez who bimbled off without her, stood by the stable and waited nicely to get tacked up. Very impressive. The thing with Jez is she's a bit odd. She stood there with all her tack on and then wont move her feet. She sort of goes into a trance like she's frozen. Normally TW gets really stressed by this and the more stressed she gets the more frozen Jez gets. Today TW tried hard, she breathed slowly and talked softly and told Jez that she didn't need a smack (Jez thinks people are going to smack her for some reason). Eventually she moved. TW was chuffed. But then she stopped again. By the big concrete block.

TW was confused and wondered how she was going to get the rest of the way to the mounting block when she realised that Jez wanted her to get on there. So she popped on and they pootled down to the water , had a sit and a mooch and came back. TW was very very very pleased.

I said to TW I dont want to be ridden today thanks and she said that's fine and sat about a bit longer before pottering off on her own snotty way.

In the evening she came back and gave us our second bale and Boblet walked the dawgs. Then she played a game - it was who will let me near them on a mounting block. God only knows why she tried Bracken first but TW thought it was hilarious. Brack moved off, I moved off, Lyra and Mikka moved off, Dilly pretended she was going to play but shen she moved off too. So TW stood on her mounting block with Jez and lay over her back and they meditated while Jez nommed.

Then as they were about to leave the Queen Bee followed TW to the stables and demanded a bit of scratchy reiki - TW wouldnt need a mounting block to get on her lol.

the boss, the spy, the queen

Yesterday TW was up very late. 1pm late! She had been looking after the chiddlers and had to wait til they were collected til she could come. TBH she looked fecked when she arrived as baby chiddler had been poorly and cried alot. He probably would have been happier spending the night with us , he loves us.

Anyhoo, she chucked us hay and gave quick kisses and off she popped.

A few hours later the hay was gone and we were grazing by the woods. Next thing Misty comes galloping towards us shouting come quick. So we all bogged off and up the field. Lo and behold there was TW and Boblet and the dawgs and new hay. We charged about a bit and then settled down to munch.

This morning TW was up at a decent enough time but she was super germed up so just chucked hay about a bit and we nommed and usual. Dilly made a run for the open stable so Misty kicked shit out of her. This resulted in Dilly running into the stable to escape the ninja shetland. She then wedges herself between the quads and the hay bales and random stuff and happily stood munching. In a teeny tiny spot. What a wierdo. TW had to chase Misty away from the door to let Dilly escape, with some encouragement.

In the evening TW reappeared as she has no car in the morning so thought we might want a bit of extra hay. That was very pleasant.  We shot across the field as soon as we saw Boblet and Lyra did a wee hooly bucking and farting and chasing the Pig.

TW had put the fence across so we could have hay by the water. No problem. I started grazing and so did Mikka ( who is in season btw and trying to distract me from my food) and the others waited patiently for new nets. Apart from Misty who sauntered under the fence and helped herself to hay from the stable. TW didnt bother making her go back, she accepts theres no point. Boblet gave Misty a scratch and a cuddle and said "leave her shes doing no harm". I swear I saw Misty wink and grin!!

Wierd

Another 50 bales of hay today - bonus. And it was dry but cloudy - no rain is always a good thing. TW popped us our hay down by the water today so she could fence us off to wait for the hay delivery. Lyra decided that there wasn't enough grub so snuck under the high fence followed by Misty and Bracken. That didn't go down well I can tell you.

Anyhoo today the message is mostly that people are wierd. TW was in a vile mood cos she was tired and germy and coming into season I reckon. The girls I live with dont get so mean when they are in season they are all flirty and squirty. The man next door came and shouted and swore at Boblet today because he parked his car on the mans grass verge to let the hay man get past. Boblet was very good and didn't swear back, TW just hid. Boblet was very very mad I reckon even though he didn't show it. TW just got sad about the way people behave.

People are very wierd.

silky

TW popped up twice today, we were waiting by the gate both times. She was so tired and busy she didn't even bother to put the hay in the nets - we just got it from the floor. Only I wanted the mycosorb stuff today, she commented on how silky soft my hair is feeling.

Thursday, 9 March 2017

sunshine

The sun was shining nice and early this morning and my tummy was feeling a whole lot better. I had some yea sac again and some of the other mycosorb stuff. Misty had some too. She doesn't like being groomed sometimes like me.

Anyhoo we did the hay thing as usual and TW figured out cos she was up so early she had some time to hang around so thought we might have a little pootle togther. So she tied me to the wall, gave me a little brush and tacked me up. For some reason my girth wouldn't do up. How odd! But TW had a rummage and found the girth extender thingy and then we were good to go. She had an idea that we could try to get on the road today even though we havn't been past the haylage bales for ages. So like a good boy scout she put on her high viz and I had my proper bridle on just in case.

Normally she gets on behind the car cos sometimes I find it hard to go past it and past the wierd trailer thing. Today she was feeling brave and we got on in front of the car. No problem. Funnily enough my girth needed to go up a million holes when she got on...not sure why that was.

We walked straight past and onto the track. For some reason TW had decided that she could remember how to ride today. She patted me lots and did lots of deep breathing and made me stop and start and move left and right. Sometimes I got scared but she didn't worry and we kept on going. Near to the end I wanted to turn back but it was quiet so TW said we should go onto the road. So we did. Stopped to let a car past then popped into the drive down the road, turned round and came back. TW was very proud.

Back down the track and the wind was blowing. It sounded like the roof was going to blow off a shelter in the field next door. Normally that would have made her get off cos she was scared and I was scared. This time she turned me around and we went back up the track and she said if it was still noisy next time she would get off. it wasn't. So we stopped and started and backed up a bit until we were back at the start. I got lots of pats.

Back in the field she put my stuff away and then jumped over the fence. TW asked me for a kiss like we used to do. I gave a kiss and she skipped off all happy.

Wednesday, 8 March 2017

Marshmallow

Marshmallow is good for sore guts so they say. When TW arrived this morning there was a soggy bucket full of the stuff left on the yard. Gross. No-one wanted that crap. The mycosorb and yeast on the other hand is getting more popular, Brack had a sniff today but there wasn't much left.

Anyhoo, today was a quickish visit by TW. She hayed us up and my tummy was fine so that's good. Then she took Jez for a wee walk which took ages as Jez was back to being very cautious. TW was feeling very sad cos she says it feels like a long road to get us going again especially with her nerves. But hopefully she will come up with a plan. She even contemplated riding Brack again! Oh dear.

jealousy?

We had three visits from TW today which was mostly pleasant. One on her own, one with the dawgs and one with Boblet and the dawgs.

First visit we were waiting for the hay. I tried to help her climb over the gate but she wasn't so keen on that. It did make her laugh though. Better mood that yesterday. My tummy wasn't quite right cos I didn't like her touching my sides or grooming my right side so she set about rummaging. And found a nearly full tub of equishure. Result. But it tasted crap so I declined it. I did nom down some yea sac and some mycosorb stuff though. The yea-sac is tastier. She gave everyone a brush , apart from Misty who wasn't interested and mooched about a bit.

Then she took her hat and off she went. WTF? I was most confused. The bugger only went off and had a hack at some trekking place "to get her confidence back". Hmmmm. Not sure about that.

Anyhoo, a bit later on she reappeared with the dawgs and was very pleased with herself. Said she had a nice hack and did some cantering!  I ignored her and made me scratch me all over my neck and bum. My tummy not so much. Lyra tried to come over for a cuddle so I chased her off and Mikka too. Those arab girls were very proud of TW and eventually when I started to graze went over to her together to give her special kisses like they do. One on each hand like before. So I bundled in some more and got some more scratches.

She put hay out for us but we didn't notice and carried on grazing. At tea time she returned and this time shouted "DILLY THERES HAY" which is a sure fire way to get greedy Dill moving. In fact, Dilly was so greedy that while we all nomming the second half of our nets she decided to get herself into the stable. With all the hay. And the shed. And the quads. Nightmare she is sometimes! She managed to turn on a sixpence and shuffle out.

Mikka had her rug back on and so did Dilly and tbh my tummy was feeling better. TW put some marshmallow powder out but I don't think I'm so keen. I had a bit and pulled a face, so did Brack and so did Misty. Boblet was pleased TW had a nice hack but couldnt understand why she had to ride other ponies ( very good question!) so she said it was to help her nerves. Apparently she wasn't nervous at all riding the strange big mare.  Boblet doesn't get it. Not sure I do really either.

sun

Once again today we were grazing in the big field when TW arrived. She was very tired which is never a good sign. So tired that she had forgotten where her yard boots were so came up in her doc martens but fortunately found her wellies in the stable after she squelched through the mud soup. So even though it was sunny she was not full of the joys of spring. She hayed us up and had a quick chat with us all and took off the girls rugs. She's feeling sad about being too scared to ride again, but she's glad my tummies ok.

Bye bye track

When TW arrived this morning, we were all stood looking soggy and boggy by the gate. The weather is pish again. She said "shouldnt you all be grazing" but we pretended we hadn't heard her.

The hay came out but |I didn't move, I wasn't so hungry. The nets came out and eventually I came round to the door and made the others move so I could start nomming. TW noticed Lyra was a bit jumpy and couldn't understand why.

Anyhoo, she decided that cos it was so wet that she would shut the track off again until it's tried out. Then she saw what had happened. Broken electric stuff and poo in the middle of the track. "Pah!" she muttered and shut it all off, she said it was too crap to be sorting fencing. She filled the water and did the rest of the hay, gave us all a quick scratch and off she went. My tummies still fine btw.

She promised that the weather is going to be good this week....I hope so!

tracks increase exercise

Saturday today. TW was meant to be on a course and letting Boblet look after us. She didn't go, tired or something I think...

Anyhoo when she arrived with Boblet and the dawgs we were stood by the gate and she knew straight away something was wrong. My rug was all wonky and my leg straps were wierd. She came rushing in and tried to sort me out but I said I needed some hay to make my tummy better first. \So she opened the hay stable and I started nomming while she took off my rug. I'd got to warm in it and had rolled and rolled and got it all muddled up. Stupid rug. She then took the girls rugs off too. My tummy was a bit gurgly again so I had some yeast and so did Dill.

Next she put nets up and had a wrestle with Bracken again as he tried to stop her walking down the field with his net. She found bopping him on the bum with it worked quite well. Then she did some mucking out and sloped off for some breakfast.

It was a lovely sunny day today. No sooner had she gone she seemed to reappear, this time with just Boblet and the lunatic. They walked about a bit in the sun while we still nommed. When they came back Misty told TW that she wanted to go on the grass track. TW opened it and quick as you like Misty was in through the first paddock and into the second before TW could shut it off. We all followed super fast. Apart from Dildred who was nomming hay still. TW shook her head and her and Boblet set about taping round the second track. We galloped about and bucked a bit and eventually we were where we meant to be! TW was relieved.

Boblet said they might as well clear some rubbish as we had uncovered loads of crappy haylage wrappers left by naughty people. TW jumped on the back of his quadbike and off they went followed by Lunatic. I couldnt bleddy believe it! She's my person not Boblets!! I stood and stared and glared, I could tell she felt guitly. When they got to the rubbish she noticed that we were all running into the first paddock track which made her happy. Until she came back over and realised we had gone straight through the track fencing and were happy in the middle grazing!! Oops!!

TW was a bit sad and tired by now. She didn't know what to do. Lyra and Mikka could see she was sad and went up to her and gave her a kiss and said they would be good girls. So she opened another part of the fence and they stepped back on the track where they were meant to be. TW moved me next and then Jez. Brack moved himself to avoid being caught and then Misty followed. Phew! She was relived and so was Boblet who was getting a bit sick of fencing I reckon.

Off they went to get the battery and zappy thing and Dilly mooched down to see what was going on while we all grazed the nice track. Boblet put down the battery and had a cuddle with Dill and was confused when she stompled off. Then she started running down the track, TW was so pleased cos she wants the track to give us more exercise. But Dilly wasnt keen and just ran through the fence and into the middle! Oh bugger! I had to look the other way. Misty went running to see if she could get in too but they were too quick for her so she just galloped round - she likes the track. Boblet said bad stuff to Dilly when they got her out!!

Misty then started a stampede around the track , a super fast gallop. It was amazing! But at the bottom we split into two groups and went in opposite directions and when we met again at the top I thought TW was going to be sick cos me and Mikka ran into each other - her legs are not as chunky as mine!! We did some more galloping about and TW said she was shattered and going home for a nap. Oops!

After her nap she came back to check we were all ok. Me and Jez were back on the hay and the others were on the track. The weather was getting wild again so she rugged Mikka and Dill and took some pictures and buggered off again. She said she won't be back til tomorrow. I bet shes wondering if Dilly will go through the fence again now she has a rug on!!

growing

So TW had a treat this morning when she got to the yard....we were all grazing apart from Misty who was loitering with intent. Oh and apart from Jez but TW didn't realise that until she walked into the shelter and went face first into Belle's butt!! Oops!

While she was mooching about she got a bit confused so I went up behind her and gave her a nice kiss. She liked that.

Anyhoo she got the nets sorted and we nommed along nicely while the dawgs ran about. Bracky had his down away from the rest of us again. I forgot to mention yesterday that Brack has a good line in blocking TW when she's carrying hay nets. yesterday he had her stood for ages like a human hay ring while he scoffed his heart out - she couldnt move him and couldnt get past him. He's very skillful. Today he was a bit better behaved.

When the hay and water were sorted she told us it was going to be horrid weather and we could have rugs on if we liked. Mikka said yes please. I did to. The next rug in the pile was Dilly's and she said yes please aswell!! Ha! Mikka had a good sniff of her purple rug and Jez was a bit unsure whether she wanted one on too. So TW rummaged about and found a brand new red rug for Jez. She did not want it on!! Misty ran off from her rug and Lyra and Brack don't have them and tbh that would have been pointless trying.

Before we knew it she was off with the dawgs on her way to a training course. Weekend tomorrow!

breathe

TW was a bit sad when she arrived this morning. She had seen an old blog on facebook from 4 years ago when we had ridden on the busy 60mph road on our own and gone for a sunset hack. She wants to do that again. It was so windy that we just ate hay and had some cuddles and then she gave up and went home cos the rain started. We were all sharing nicely though so that pleased her.

Later on the sun was shining and TW re-appeared which was nice. Mikka and Misty and Bracky were snoozing and we were still picking at hay. TW said she would really like to have a little ride on me but I said I needed to doze instead. Jez said she would put her halter on but then she went to sleep too. TW got really sad.

So I got my tack on and out the gate we went and on she got. It was so bleddy windy. TW said I could graze which was nice and then we did some steps. I was spooky and looky. TW said we would just stand and breathe and graze and then walk some more. She sang to me which I like even though its crap.  I did my super alert giraffe impression and in the end she got off and we walked up and down the track together chatting. My tootsies are maybe a bit sore which isn't good.

Anyhoo back at the mounting block and TW got back on. I'm doing very well at standing nicely. The saddle thing slipped a bit and I wouldn't move. Finally!! TW realised that when i nap it's cos she's wonky and I'm scared she's going to fall off! She straightened up and off we went and then I did a ginormous spook. She's not scared of spooking at all it's wierd. She's scared of spinning and running but I don't think I've ever done that? That's Jezs trick. She jumped off and tried to see what had scared me. So I ran off towards it to show her, down the track that we've never been on before. It was quite good. I snorted and giraffed and snorted some more. Eventually we went back in the field and I nipped Lyra for being annoying.

Lyra and Mikka decided they needed lots of scratches and cuddles and Mikka got TW to take her rug off. Pair of attention seekers. I went back to sleep to dream of days when TW was brave.

Worry

The mornings are definitely getting lighter which is good news. The weather has not been good but I reckon the grass is growing. TW arrived early doors today and was shocked that we were not waiting for her!! She started doing the hay and noticed that the girls were creeping closer . No me though. TW shouted and shouted. And started to panic. And shouted some more. Eventually I crept from behind the shelter and mooched up for hay and a kiss.

TW relaxed and did some more nets. Then realised there was no Misty. She shouted and shouted and looked and shouted and panicked. Started walking down the field and could see the little one behind the shelter where I had been. Not moving. TW walked faster and shouted louder. Eventually Misty woke up and started walking up and TW breathed a big sigh of relief. Then we all nommed hay. TW noticed that my stomach and Mikka's were gurgling and gurgling away. Jez decided that she wasn't even that fussed about hay and started to doze. TW was very confused.

The weather forecast was meant to be bad today and TW worried about how we would cope. As the hours crept by the sun was still shining. She managed to finish work early and appeared back at the yard just before 6pm. It was still light!! She was so excited - wierdo. We were all grazing again though!

Dilly spied her first and was up on the hay nets before you could say greedy mare. The cheeky monkey was scoffing and looking over her shoulder checking we hadn't spied her!! TW shouted and eventually we came up and Dildred had to move! Ha!! We nommed some more hay and Jez and Dill shared some yeast cos I didn't want any. Bracky got his net away from the rest of us.

I've figured out that if I stand in a certain spot that TW can't see if she's locked up the hay stable. TW worried when she was in the shower before bed that she hadn't locked it up this evening. Oops!!
