work

This morning it was so sunny and bright. And blowing a gale and absolutely baltic. TW was frozen when she came up to give us the hay-fast and she could barely see cos her mane was blowing in her face. She sat on a rock for ages and watched us nom and then got primed for action.

She made a hay net and popped it at the top of the yard and said it was time to go. I walked off. She followed me. I bit Brack and walked off some more. She followed me some more. Eventually I gave up and we got through the gate and very slowly made our way to the stables. I had a big sniff of lavender oil and so did TW. I was very very scared but TW was patient until she tied me up and I repeatedly swung my bum into her. The wind is scary you're honour.

Anyhoo, she said we were going for a lesson so I did my best huff and puff nervous nelly impression. Surprisingly she mostly ignored me (although had a brief thought about cancelling), tried to brush me but gave up, tacked me up and off we strolled. Down the track I huffed and puffed and spooked and occassionally grazed, got me some nice clivers today. It was busy on the road and TW protected me nicely from the cars cos I was busy sniffing and stopping and staring.

We got to the lesson just on time and TW shouted to Jiggys mum who was busy in the barn. She walked me round in hand and then the nice teacher lady helped her get on. I started off with a nice spook at the sheep shed and the teacher lady led me round past them but TW said I didn't need that help today so off we went. Today we did circles and circles and circles. Bending right is not easy. The grumpy cob next to the school kept launching at me cos he thought I wanted his wee hay net which was a bit wierd. TW said so many nice things to me it was lush. I think I did a good job. She wasn't nervous today either. After half an hour I was shattered and TW said thank you we are done. So off she popped and we strolled nice and relaxed back home with some grazing breaks on the way.

Back at the field I nibbled the hay the others had left and TW told me how good I was again. Then she went and for some reason it started snowing.

In the evening the chiddlers arrived to look at lambs and then Boblet and the dawgs. I tried to nibble them all so they went and hid in the caravan as it was even colder. Eventually TW arrived and gave us our second bale. She said we had to be warm tonight as the weather was looking crap. Mikka refused to have her rug on though. TW was confused. Oh and did I tell you that TW says I have ribs! She was impressed. Think she wants ribs too.
