Yesterday was Saturday. TW didn't know what to do, there was no-one to ride with and she wasn't sure if the roads were slippy. She thought the best course of action was some in-hand walking.
So after she turned us out she faffed around rummaging in the tractor and couldn't find the big lead rope. So she put on my headcollar and tied me to the gate with a rope halter. She was very impressed I was a good lad. I was mostly confused. She then rummaged some more, got my tack out and put my stirrups on the saddle. WTF? Got her hat on and tacked me up. Wee wierdo. Oh and out her straight jacket on that Boblet got her for Xmas.
On she popped and I was good some more. Despite having a bit . Gah! We trundled down the track and I was good. She was happy. At the gate she popped off. OMFG. Through the gate and by the wall. I was good. She got on. And snorty snorty nice and relaxed we walked up the field.
At the end of the first field we turned round and TW got off. No bucking around today she said. Eejit. As if I would! And we pootled down together with me only occasionally trying to nibble grass. TW was proud, it was the first trip into the field since September when I nearly broke her and she got sad and wanted to give up.
Next it was Jezeys turn. The field was hard and Jezey didnt like the ruts. her and TW had a right battle getting out of the field and Jez got some smacks. So to pay TW back she nipped her when she was girthing her up and for the first time ever moved when TW got on. And she took a good time to allow TW back on when they went into the field too! It was Jezeys first time in the field. I shouted and shouted to TW to come back and get me instead but off they went. Up TWO fields and back. Jezey was super good. Cow bag! I'm sure it must be Bracky's turn too!
Today was Sunday. It had snowed overnight. We did not want to leave Hotel Barn. TW was once again mortified - in the end she had to chase us out. We had hay in the field and in the afternoon we had a carrot and back to bed. Me and Bee in the back today. Nom.
